no one could mess with him cause he had air first thats why he was untouchable

lol i dont no but u see how aang was fast and had a lot of agility but the benders in this one aint on the old avater level yet

Maybe there were less of the Air Benders. But I think they are strongest, then fire, then earth, then water. Just my opinion.

i kinda agree, also they advanced too much in the 70 years time skip, now the avatar seems like someone who brought a knife to a gunfight. everyone can willy-nilly shoot lightning/ metal bend & even block chi. but oh well..still.. i like the show.

Yeah. Apparently, Wind Style in Naruto is the best for Combat. Maybe it's the same with Avatar. And the reason for Fire and Air bending being better than Water and Earth is because Air is alwasy there, kinda the same with Fire. But with Earth and Water you have to be near a source.
