Yeah he pisses me off to sometimes lol. But he didn't flaunt it around too much that he was Madara. He in fact admitted that he was even weak at the moment.

He was pretty much invincible, so his "I am God" statement wasn't unfounded. It was a part of what he later said that Yahiko's dream of becoming a god to end the wars and violence of the world becoming his dream as well.
