Just beause he's the son of a hokage doesn't equate to him being extremely powerful. I never expected much from him.

Asuma was strong, but yeah he should have been able to handle at least Hidan by himself. One of 12 guardians... lame.

He should have been stronger, but it doesn't matter to me whether he died or not.

I didn't. He seemed like a oridnary jounin from the Leaf, nothing more nothing less.

this seems correct, you remember if naruto didnt have kuruma what kinda genin would he have become or konohamaro isnt excaclly the top chuunin

i just assumed being the son of a man that has the title as god of shinobi he would be able to take down hidan? he probably cant even beat zabuza

Well Asuma suffers from low panel time >.> I'm sure he has some other wind jutsu that we don't know of.

Come on now...wouldn't you be caught a little off guard if you decapitated somebody and they lived. Also, he had no intel on Hidan. How was he supposed to know if he got scratched it would be game over. I mean you just wouldn't expect that somebody could turn into a skeleton looking monster and impale himself causing you to die. I'll chalk this one up to Plot no Jutsu.

Well for example he didn't use the dust cloud technique against Hidan (the one he used in his ET form)

1st. Asuma isnt Hiruzen nor is he as good as Hiruzen, not many ninja are.

2nd. Without intel i'd say it would be pretty hard for ANYBODY to beat hidan. One drop of blood and you're dead? idk.

The thing I hated most about Asuma was the fact that he never used his deadliest wind jutsu until he was an edo... It made it seem like a deadly jutsu to tack on him considering with all we'd seen from him, he was rather sub par, but his character was one of my faves, but he sucked in his Hidan fight really bad, and never used that wind tech

Yeah, Asuma was pretty good. Unfortunate situation though. I mean, Hidan was freaking immortal! And he must have been good if he had a 35 million ryo bounty :izuna:
