Edo Tensei changes characters

Let's have a quick look at how some people acted after they were resurrected...
Nagato seemed to have lost his former feelings of responsibility for the world in general, started acting as if he had a sense of humor (What the hell?) doesn't ask after Konan, and decides that Jiraiya, who he previously considered immature and foolish, was perfect.
Itachi starts making bad jokes and obscure comments about discovering one's true self. Somehow I had not noticed before that Itachi didn't really care about Sasuke, just self-discovery...
Sasori, who has shown unshakeable dedication to his opinions before, allows himself to be swayed to another point of veiw in five minutes by a wet-behind-the-ears brat who was claiming to have surpassed his Red Secret technique.
Torune loses the composure that is an essential part of every Root member.
Deidara, who in the past was shown to acknowledge and respect forms of art other than his own, mocks Sai's art.
I hope I'm not alone in asking, 'what the FLIP is wrong with this picture?'

Nagato could sense people, he already knew Konan was dead, if he hadn't met her in the afterworld already.
Itachi displayed his real self, he did not need to hold himself back and act cold.
Sasori had already changed before he died, that's how he died in the first place.
Deidara always considered his art to be true art. Why would he respect a brat's art 'art'?

Sasori DID pwn Kankuro the one time they fought! It's ridiculous for Kankuro to claim he's surpassed him.
I liked Itachi much better when he was quiet, as opposed to spouting peculiar psuedo-wisdom every other panel. 'Kabuto... discover your true self, you have not. Be defeated you must!'

Thanks! And yeah, Madara seems one of the most unchanged. I love the part where he's looking over the destroyed battlefield and is just like 'Hn. Haven't had the pleasure of seeing this in a while.' xd

Okay, good point about Konan.
However... you're saying Itachi's 'true self' is lame-joke cracking, self-focused and annoying? That's a major letdown for fans, if so.
Sasori had not changed THAT MUCH!
Deidara calls statues 'art' and says he respects Sasori's art. On the whole, the only attitude he's displayed towards other people's art before has been 'you're not right, but I'm going to respect your opinion.' I can understand trash talk during a fight, but he would have chosen a different subject for it imo.

They were dead and happily chilling out in afterlife. They don't belong to this world anymore, and they don't need to keep identities.
Itachi can now talk anything he likes because he doesn't need to lie to Sasuke anymore. Nagato was talk-no-jutsued by Naruto right before dying, so he's a much more laid back and enjoyable person now.
Sasori was changed before his death.
Deidara could have been polite about his opinions of others' art, but he has no reason of pretending now that he is a zombie, he can freely say what he really thinks

Actually, it would be strange if death didn't change people in some way or another.
