Hey im new to narutobase and was curious as to why the sage would divide the juubi into 9 unequal portions? Its been stated that the nine-tails has the most chakra so why would the sage do that?

it was to keep the juubi at bay, because when you die, the tailed beast is free, so he divided the juubi to stop it from rampaging the world after he had left.

Probably a plot hole because Naruto is the main character and he possesses the Kyuubi.

He might have put his soul into the Kyuubi. It would explain why Naruto gets his unique form every time he uses KM. Maybe it shaped Naruto somehow.

Honestly the gap doesn't look too big imo. the 2-7 tails seem to have fought on equal terms more or less (plus the Bijuudama are about the same size)

If you think about it, the Sage predicted that they would form into 1 in the future, so maybe he created them that way so that GM can slowly absorb them at a steady pace (for they have to be sealed in a specific order, from the 1 tails to the 9th i think)
