Honestly, this response blew my mind. It shows the ignorance of a lot of people in regards to drugs and how they're handled.
I'm going to warn you guys - this thread will get very graphic very quick, honestly I feel even speaking of Krokodil can make a person's stomach turn so I HIGHLY recommend thinking about reading this before you do it.
So, here is krokodil:

The high: Short lived and not incredible. It's a very impure form of heroine, the high may last anywhere from a half hour to two hours depending on tolerance, amount used, etc and has a heavy crash which normally leads to the addict immediately cooking and using more.
The physical tolls: Now here is where stuff gets fun. All of the impurity and toxicity has an effect - the moment you use this stuff the skin around the injection site turns green as the drug slowly rots and corrodes your body. The name krokodil actually comes from this, from what I know krokodil means "crocodile" in Russian and is in reference to the greenness and reported scaliness around the site of injection. With pro longs use, your body decays. Your skin and muscles melt away then your bones corrode, your body literally is destroyed down to its very cells.
Other effects: You die. This is the single most harmful drug ever created and your life expectancy will be one to two years. The addictiveness is high enough to where the user will go through thirty days of withdrawal which is strong enough to kill just from the stress and pain of it all.
Where is it?: It's not some small, rare drug - in Russia it's taken over towns and is replacing heroine almost country wide there, whether it will spread is unknown but it will most likely not become too popular elsewhere as Russia is a huge opiate using country and this just supplies the masses, most people elsewhere can afford heroine.
