it was said when tobi has to go on offensive he has to materialize to make contact?
claim for this right here:
You must be registered for see images

now right here IN MY OPINION tobi is clearly on offensive as seen here with naruto:
You must be registered for see images

but you clearly see guy's foot somewhat go into tobi's head so thats saying guy's leg phased through him?

your thoughts? :scorps:

It's a like toggle, he could of contracted the muscle in that punch, therefore switching
Into the defensive.

Also it's probably affect by the mind

He dematerialized just as the kick was going to hit him, he was going to grab Naruto to use the genjutsu he used on Konan and you can see his hand slipping through Naruto's face as well.

but how did he see the kick coming? as i just said he was basically on offensive since he was basically attacking naruto.

He wasn't going to use genjutsu on him, he was going to absorb him into his separate dimension.

He probably saw it coming when the other jinchurriki saw them trying to attack him throught the linked vision that the rinnegan grants.

Good question, prior to this fight he wouldn't have been able to but since he had a shared vision path with his six paths he saw them coming at him via the rinnegan.

He was on offensive, going to grab naruto in his S/t jutsu. But on the last moment he became intangible to avoid Gai's kick & Kakahi hand grab.

We can only speculate that he could feel their presence and could forsee their attacks in a split second which is enough to dematerilize, which consequently causes him to punch through Naruto's face.. Looks kinda dumb tho xD.

Before he puts them into that dimension he uses genjutsu on them, that's why when he released the two anbu he got from Danzo they were unconcious.

This was already explained. the rinnengan has connective sight.

he clearly was tangible when he grabbed naruto but had to phase when he saw guy imo. thats what i think happened. the moment he began to phase it was defence as far as i can see.

He dematerialized as sort of like a reflex action. That and the shared vision of the paths

He was on the offensive as he was reaching for Naruto, but he went out of phase to avoid being kicked in the head by Guy. This does not change anything. In order for him to make contact with the physical world (ie. launch or land an offensive attack), he must be in phase, which is why he couldn't complete his attack.
