Weapons: Gaara can use his Gold Dust(taken from his father). Konan can use the Ten Minute Explosion at the cost of near exhaustion situation.

Very interesting match up, depends on whether or not Konan is in an area with more hidden tags like she was against Tobi. I'm going to actually not post here, I'm not sure if Konan while in her "paper form" can be crushed by sand or if her only weakness is fire release. Very nice match up and thread, plus rep.


EDIT: To clarify, Konan's attacks are less versatile than Deidara's, she can't use the same methods Dei-Dei did to get past Gaara's sand. Also the ten minute explosion, while strong, most likely wouldn't break through Gaara's strong sand while it defends him.

Konan FTW or Draw. Sand killing Paper or paper killing sand. <LOL> She can mix paper bombs into her paper. The paper is also use for attack and defense. It would be similar to Deidara fighting Gaara and we know how that turned out.

this is interesting... well it depends wether you think Gaaras can survive that amount of firepower ,im not sure he can i mean look at what deideras bombs did too him i mean fair enough he was defending the village but she has like a million bombs and deidera defeated him with a few.This is kind of unfair to anybody really i mean i can think of about 5 people who could survive this.

Konans paper form, exploding tags, etc i think would be LEAST effective against someone of Gaaras style. This is why i wish Gaara would fight more in part 2, you have to admit Gaara got extremely trolled against Deidara, with Deidara DIRECTLY atacking sunagakure to waste Gaaras chakra and stamina (The fact that he resorted to that tells me he was worried that he wouldnt beat Gaara 1v1) and he only had a very short bout with his father and the other edo former kages, but being edos, its about sealing and not killing. Most of peoples statements about where Gaara stands strength wise is speculation. eh whatever i say gaara. Konan never seemed to be anthing special to me, but im prepared to admit that its because she was forced into unbalanced fights (much like Gaara acctually)

Konan will easily win. I think she is really Gaaras sand weakness. Because even if she is overwhelmed, she can put papier explosive bombs in Gaaras sand and when he tried to protect himself with it, it's almost over

Konan is my favourite akatsuki member and she may have some chance,but using explosive tags...just no.To use the hidden tags she needs so much prep time which is not mentioned in the top comment.

You're not understanding at all. We're not saying konans explosive papers are stronger than Deidaras. We're saying that papers could go easily through Gaaras defense(even Deidara did that, so with paper, it would be much more easier for Konan), and if he decides to defend himself with his sand, papers bombs explose and it's over.

The word 'than' is used for comparisions, like I'm smarter than you.
The word 'then' is used in the following way: I'm going to fish and then cook the fish.
Then again, I'd go with Konan on this one, explosion>sand.
