How would he have not have the Rinnegan? He died after unlocking the Rinnegan. The only thing he probably wouldn't have is Hashirama's powers. But then again the Rinnegan is probably the reason he can control Hashirama's powers in the first place since the Rinnegan lets you master all elemental jutsu's.

Okay you don't know what your talking about. Madara died long into the future after his battle with Hashirama. How do we know this? Because Madara knows who Nagato is. Second, Madara used his meteor technique before that the Rinnegan grants. How do we know this? Well here is the proof. Pay attention to what Madara says after he dropped the meteor. This means he was alive when he used that ability.
