Afternoon Tiger vs Yata Mirror

Yata mirror, as you've probably heard 1000 times, is Itachi's strongest defence and capable of blocking all jutsu with ease. However, its resistance to strong physical attacks is questionable. Afternoon tiger is a catastrophic blast of raw strength and doesn't have chakra meaning the sheild wouldn't be an auto-block against it. So would Guy's ultimate attack shatter Itachi's strongest defence, or would the sheild stay strong against it?

Going with the mirror - the technique is very strong but is basically a giant gust of wind, it most likely would have little effect on a susanoo let alone the mirror.

The same attack that didnt leave a scratch on kisame? psh.

What im trying to tell you is that i dont believe it will do anything to an incomplete susnao, let alone something like the yata mirror.

Anyway its said to change abilities according to the attack therefore it can change to a suiton, which will make afternoon tiger less effective no different to here;

It messed up his chest fairly badly - I remember it being quite a hell of a blow on Kisame.

I completely agree on it vs. susanoo, though.

EDIT: Not even bringing the mirror in as it's not needed but if it is vs. the mirror you might as well put a fan against a wall.

Could've sworn the elemental change only applied to elemental attacks. Guess I'll have to go back and reread. However suiton wouldn't do much considering the mere aura around guy when he opened the seventh gate was evaporating around him. Guess it was also a bad idea on my part making this thread since yata's physical defence hasn't really been tested yet.

Yata Mirrors defence blocks all like a mirror reflects. Any force that hits it, is met with equal force, hence no damage done.

Messed up his chest?. I think you are confused with bee's lariat, thats what messed up kisame's chest. He tanked afternoon tiger like a baws and still had enough strength to break free from mokouton and commit suicide.

yata mirror does not block all. It block chakra attacks which everybody uses which makes it powerful. Might Guy is no different but his more powerfully attacks are not Chakra based. There is nothing the the yata mirror to change element to.

Can't find the episode but I remember his chest being covered in scratches / marks, it wasn't the scar from Bee, it looked like it was left over from Guy's technique.

The hardly any damage part was along the same lines as kakuzu being in the same shape after taking a rasenshuriken that left a dbz sized crater in the ground. Kishi simply needed him in one peice after taking the attack for some reason or another. The shockwaves from the blast swept people off their feet about a mile away.
