Gaara was feared as a sinister character from the original series of Naruto.Sasuke had no chance of beating him back then.So Sasuke is weaker than Gaara from the original Naruto series.Has it change in Naruto Shippuden?
Gaara became kazekage.It means that he's the top shinobi in the sand.Gaara went head to head against Deidara and crushed his hand.He was lost because Deidara had the upper hand.Gaara had to cover & protect his village & people while he's fighting.He almost succeed doing that.First Deidara-kun shouldn't have died in front of Sasuke (Sasuke didn't kill him
).It wasn't fair.Sasuke was able to survive with him because Deidara was super pissed while fighting due to Sasukes' emo ego (which is super annoying).That's why Deidara became an underrated character and was flamed by Sasuke fans. :sy:
Amaterasu
Gaaras' sand was able to cover him from amaterasu.Those who say it was blaze release,their assumptions are not 100% accurate.Even tough it was blaze release it isn't said to be totally different from it's parental jutsu amaterasu.It was never mentioned that blaze releases are slower than the normal amaterasu cast.
So amaterasu isn't an invincible jutsu.Many have dodged it and countered it.Sasuke avoided it for good couple of yards by just running against Itachi. :sy:
The amaterasu invincible bragging dates are over.
Susanoo
Gaara's sand is versatile,strong & fast.He can create huge structures to capture/fight his opponent.He can make those giant arms just like Naruto's chakra arms and fight susanoo techs.He can deflect susanoo arrows.His techs like sand tsunami can bury susanoo in sand and try to crush it.He can use Prison Sand Burial to sink susanoo. xd
He can use sand prisons etc. as well.
With his sand we dunno what's coming.
Other
Gaara has the ariel advantage like Sasuke with his desert suspension.For genjutsu we haven't seen Gaara get caught in a genjutsu.Gaara successfully fought mizukage (juki boy) when he's using genjutsu to hide his exact location.
In the last chapter we saw Sasuke bleed from his eye when he used the amaterasu.It sure was a troll cause his eye wasn't exhuausted at all.Or it maybe an indication that EMS isn't what we thought.
