he is probably at the monkey equivalent of Mount Myōboku. though he might be dead because if you look at the flashbacks with him compared with when he and hiruzen confront orochimaru, you can see he ages. also he is one of the ten ninja animals that wear a kohona head band which may indicate that he is only loyal to the leaf. and like any summon i think anyone can make a contract with them not just people from the line of Sarutobi Hiruzen. but it would be pretty cool to see konahomaru summon that guy to fight together with him,
