She doesn't need speed to destroy Gaaras defense. With her power he could launch punshes. It's not with speed that Kimimaro was able to go through Gaaras defense but with power. Tsunade has even more power than Kimimaro and she is even like immortal.

I have this killing him even with sand armor but if its so that he barely lives. She can always do

I don't see Tsunade punches breaking Gaara's shukaku shield.A fact is that Tsunade can't do anything against long range attacks.What could she do against the sand tsunami,for example?
Lot of you say that she'd recover from it with his regeneration.But I can't see a shattered body after a sand burial recovering...
Even if she has counters for some of these(which i doubt) how she could handle his bijuu?

She can create gigantic fissures with a single finger to the ground:

I'm not trying to unnecessarily hype Tsunade. All I'm posting are direct manga examples of the power of this woman. And to this point, her brute strength is undeniable.





Part 1 Gaara's sand just would not hold to Tsunade's brute strength.
If she can do the above with just a finger and foot, then can you imagine what a REAL PUNCH or a REAL KICK with all her strength would do? All of her power focused with precise targeting at Gaara's sand shield? With repeated attacks one after another, each with as much force as the last? It's like trying to push back a freight train.

I'm sorry to all the Gaara fans out there (Better, sorry buddy. I know you voted Tsunade on page 1 but I know you're dying inside lol), but a full on punch from Tsunade would crush Gaara's automatic sand shield and break through straight to Gaara himself. His Sand Armor would serve no purpose to Tsunade's brute strength and it would be a one-hit KO. Gaara's Sand Armor crumbled when even Lee hit him. With that said, it would not do much to a punch of Tsunade's magnitude.

If Lee was able to get in close and hit Gaara's sand shield before taking off his weights, then Tsunade undoubtedly could as well.

Not even close. Part 1 Lee, even though he is a taijutsu specialist, is still a Genin. Tsunade is a well seasoned shinobi who stands as Hokage.

We are essentially comparing a standard Genin to a Hokage

When you compare these kinds of differences, base stats are dramatically different. Base Lee in Part 1 is no where near Tsunade.

Medical shinobi are trained to be evasive and this implies speed and agility:
