Akatsuki's plan

Ok ive been thinking resently, why did the members of akatsuki actually join akatsuki? And more importantly whyd they stay?
ik itachi did it to spy and what now but think about the others.
Why wud they stay when/if they knew Tobi's plan. cuz from what we know about the moon eye plan tobi will be in control no one else.
so for example kisame who knew tobi's real intentions, why wud he join akatsuki when he knew that in the end he'd just end up being controlled.
And ik not everyone knew the actuall plan. alot of them thot that they were following Nagato's plan where they wud use the tailed beasts to create some temporary peace. But why wud say Hidan, Kakuzu, Sasori, and Deidara join. From what we know of them they had no interest in peace, they all had their own agenda that "peace" or if the knew tobi's plan "moon eye" wud not allow them to complete.
Ive just been wondering why theyd wanna join a group where they either dnt accomplish theyr goals or become controlled by a sadistic man with a mask.
Any thoughts?
