I think that Hitachi has had the roughest life in Naruto, yes worse than naruto because he was completely labeled as a traitor and hated by everyone including his own brother who he loved most. Plus he had to kill his whole clan, just how possible worse can it be? His life was seriously terrible. I bet the illness he had was because of all that.
however he did have the choice though his love for kohana kept his descion on a 1 thing bias SERVE AND PROTECT)

1 kimmimaro (bone guy) he watch his entire clan recklessly get slaughtered and takien by oro god knows what he did to him
2 itachi (had slaughter his clan and family
3 naruto (lolst his parents when he was born, we know nothing of how he was raised then kicked to curb to his dads apartment at a very very young age)
4 kabuto
5 the thrid hokage (the guy lost his wife when naruto born im surprised he did not hate the kid. i mean would'nt you feel a little hate that the very thing someone killed someone close to you for is sealed inside a another person?)
6 sasuke (there is a reason why he is so low and out of the top 5. he had a family yes they got slaughter by his brother but he at least knew them.... naruto did not..... he was loved and care for by the villagers.... naruto was jeered and hated....... he had the looks to get every girl in kohana in his class then some. he was strong, fast and all around a pretty decent ninja at the begining.
7 tsunade ( woman lost her brother and saw the body, she lost her lover in front of her. she became sort of a an alcholic and compulsve gambler)
8 neji ( he was treated like **** by his clan but he was respected too)
9 madara ( WHA! yea i said it he lost his brother by unkown means * how he died i know he had his eyes given to madara* probably in front of him.... the clan turned their back on him after he build them up would you want payback i sure as hell would)
10 oro ( lost his parents and his squad.... what twisted him must have been horrible because he even stated kill ame orphans who were childern (now looking back at it that was a hell of a good idea thank you oro for not acting on it) what twisted him was and still is mystery)
