here we see kabuto saying turning into water protects him from the sound and vibrations.

however, here we see Dosu saying that water conducts sound, allowing his sound and vibration attack to still affect Choji

so my question is, shouldnt turning into water make Kabuto just as susceptible to the Dragon as the Uchiha Bros?

Yeah what he said seems to contradict himself.

He said he took it more gently. Maybe he can liquefy his body in a certain wait as to not be so susceptible

or it's just water with different density

He said he could take it more gently... And also, Dosu was able to control the sound waves with Chakra which is why he had to specifically locate the ear drums to attack them.

the HUGE difference between the two is that kabuto transforms his WHOE BODY into water. There is nothing solid in his body for the sounds to reverberate off of.

The human body may be 70% water, but it would conduct the sound through the flesh and into the solid bones.

Off topic, and I'm very sorry, but I just gotta say: density is not an intrinsic property of a fluid, but of a substance (fluid, or whatever) in a certain state. The density of water changes with temperature (also pressure) -- cold water is more dense that warm water (usually, the density of water drops slightly just before freezing, a phenomena that has somewhat profound consequences -- lakes freeze from the top, so aquatic organisms can survive in the winter). In addition, there's "heavy water" which has higher than normal concentrations of deuterium (an isotope of hydrogen with an extra neutron), making it "heavier" or more dense than normal.

Sound travels faster in a higher density medium (like water vs. air), and viscosity has nothing to do with this.

To the OP, good find. No idea what Kishi's thinking. But also gold isn't magnetic, so I try not to just overlook these things (to no avail).

Kabuto's body is more liquid than Normal body and that is the reason the sound doesn't affect him.. +rep for bringing this up..

lol this is possibly the best reply (not being sarcastic)

I think it has to do with his body completely transforming into water as BarBoBat pointed out
