naruto has for the entire shippuden series has chased sasuke and that isn't repetitive. i haven't seen one thing in one piece that has been repetitive except for small things.

Only in a very global way. Yes there are some recurrent patterns, however that doesn't take away that they are still all very different from each other. That way you can find in every manga recurrent patterns. Bleach, DBZ, Pokémon...those are shows who are a 1000 times more repetitive than One Piece.

That's one of the reasons why OP is so good. Even though the same formula comes back, Oda makes it every time unique. Only someone ill-willed is going to say it's repetitive as OP is one of the most diverse and detailed manga's that there is.
