But, then again...this was a really bad chapter on Sasuke and Itachi, I wanted to see some action, it's great how Kabuto is getting his own little spotlight but who cares. Everyone wants to see some Uchiha Eiffel Towering on Kabuto
Not everyone wants to see the Uchiha's especially not me. I actually liked the chapter being about Kabuto and his past, it was a big ? after all. Also Kabuto's new technique was awesome. Sasuke looks like a fodder ninja in this chapter (and the last 3 IMO), had to get saved by Itachi again.

sage pf the hermit? what the
Anyone bothered by the fact that he said the hermit of the six paths? Or was that a translation error?
Yer I didn't get the whole hermit thing either. What was with kabuto's hermit jutsu?

You didn't get my point... hes thoughts are to hasty not the actuall manga drawing.. its hes ideas... izanami came out of nowhere.. and IMO i think that he didn't have the time to actually prepare and show us izanami so hes pushing it 1 week forward... he should have prepared this chapter better instead of making it to hasty when everyone from last week got exicted about izanami
Do you actually think that Kishi makes chapters from week to week?

Izanami was heavily built up in the last chapter...and this chapter destroyed what was built up. I actually liked seeing Kabuto's past—but it didn't fit in with what Kishi had already built up in previous chapters. 3/5
Agreed I like seeing Kabuto's past. Unfortunately it means that we have another week of Izanami threads .

Overall I liked the chapter, for once it wasn't all about an Uchiha, which was refreshing. Although I would like to see what is going on with Tobi and Naruto. Also I hope that seeing Kabuto's backstory doesn't mean he will die, I think it is way to early for that.

Every week is the same thing.

If there's action: ppl complaint because Kishi is rushing things
If there's background story: wtf with filler stuff...
If there's no manga: what's with the delay
If there's manga: he should take a rest to sort things out!

Ah, it's so good to be human... never enough for us!
You are all young, with so much ahead of you, yet you like to rush everything!
Agree I swear some people wouldn't know a good chapter if they downloaded it from narutobase. Naruto is best enjoyed when you look at the narrative, not who can make the biggest explosion.

And if kabuto gets talk no jutsued out of attacking the leaf i might just cry out of frustration

Damn it all... First of all its all good that we gotta learn about Kabuto's background!!! I think for every major player, we need to know their background and how they turned out the way they did. But seriously you couldn't build up a chapter like how how you did last week and barely mention it this week!!! I mean why did Itachi use his Susanoo to protect Sasuke as if Sasuke doesn't have his own??? I don't usually complain about chapters whether there is too much fighting or too much talk no jutsu but this one sucked really... PS looks like Sasuke is still breeding when using his EMS... so much for the upgrade!!!

i agree with u.. so hard to make people happy.. if they want, they can make their own manga.. so they can make what they want and be happy with it.. hahaha
the problem with this chapter is the placement of the storyline in my opinion!!! personally i dont have a problem with learning so much about Kabuto but last chapter ended with Izanami with Itachi saying the jutsu is ready!!! we barely saw that this chapter... Why Kishi decided to do that puzzles me. This chapter almost feels like an anti-climax... the chronology of the story has to follow a pattern and Kishi has somehow regressed here

good chapter, Kishi should really have shown izanagi though. Personally I liked the flashbacks, it's about time we know who Kabuto is exactly.

So many people are complaining about this chapter because of the flashbacks, already... I liked it, regardless of the fact that not half of it was placed in the present.

When I first read it I had just woken up, so reading it the first time around, half sleep and what not, I was a little impatient, too. I liked the beginning with the Uchiha Brothers, but the sight of flashbacks made me unhappy. The fact that the flashbacks went all the way out to the end of the chapter also made me unhappy. It's true that so much of the chapter being flashbacks is an absolute pain, but Kishimoto is trying to show us something.

The first time I read this, I caught onto a parallel between Itachi and Kabuto and Sasuke and Naruto right away, though it's only a slight one. For Naruto and Sasuke, Naruto was the one with nothing at the beginning and Sasuke was the one with at least someone else. For Kabuto and Itachi, you can put them in the same roles. Swap Naruto out for Kabuto and Sasuke out for Itachi.

But just because Itachi had things didn't mean he wasn't lost growing up. Didn't mean he had everything while Kabuto was out somewhere with nothing; neither had a solid, even faded, grip of who they truly were. Kishi is trying to compare Itachi and Kabuto and show that they can sympathize with each other. He's trying to, with these flashbacks, give us a look at why Kabuto is the way he is now.

He had nothing then, so now he wants everything. He was nothing, so now he wants to be someone important. Like with the way he starts talking about leading Akatsuki as a sort of right-hand, as well as holding some control over the outcome of the war and actually being able to fight the Uchiha Brothers at this point. Right now he sees himself as someone with power and control over other things and people; someone crucial to an outcome, a result. Someone that's making a difference, good or bad. Obviously, in his case, it's bad, right now.

And yet the second time I read this that's what I wondered about. I recently heard a song where, at one point, one person asks another what they see when they look at themselves - F~ck You by Archive - and thought of Kabuto, if he were to stand in front of the Waterfall of Truth. What would actually come out to meet him? The person he once was, who wanted a place in the world that he rightfully belonged in and was needed in? I think that's exactly what he'd see.

But right now he sees himself differently. At one point in this chapter Itachi talked about being able to face what you can and cannot do. Kabuto, right now, thinks he can do everything and that Itachi is just saying that because he "knows" he'll "lose." That isn't the case, though. The reason we see Naruto in one panel and he talks about comrades and such is because he's, partially, making a reference to what he told Naruto earlier on, about letting others help you. Everyone has their own skills and their own weaknesses, no matter what. Kabuto thinks he's high and mighty right now, but he's not. Because, like the way Naruto has, say, Shikamaru to plan while he fights and so forth, Itachi has Sasuke there - well, I'm not sure about right now because of what Kabuto is about to do - to cover his weaknesses and help his already strong points.

Kabuto doesn't get that everyone needs comrades. He doesn't get that a single person cannot do everything - and that, if anyone could, it wouldn't be him. The flashbacks are meant to show us he wanted someone and to be needed, but right now it seems, to me, like he has so much power that it's going to his head, absolutely, and the place in the world he wanted, with other people, is buried away, or perhaps long gone.

I'm done ranting for now; I have to go to school.

My Rating of Naruto Chapter 582: 4/5.

So basically anyone that hates Kabuto thought this chapter was sh!t, and anyone that does actually thought the chapter was alright. Such blind hate narutobase. I thought it was nice to see something else than Uchiha related plot.

Amazing, i'm glad someone else gets it, instead of just say 'I hate Kabuto he should die'. If I could rep you more I would. I ask people to read this post it is very informative and explains why this was a good chapter.

Prediction:

I think that Kabuto is actually from Sunagakure, and in the flashback from this chapter he already is one of Sasori's human puppets probably with his memory erased. It would fit the description of how Sasori operated during the Kazekage Rescue Arc with Yura. The question remaining is who was behind Sasori's actions and what driven it to help ignite the 3rd shinobi world war.

i am not going to tell it was reall bad (which it was) just because i have finally realised that its leading somewhere. its like the chapters with the four tails and naruto. we all hated them but after that we got to see full bijuu mode so i guess that after all these we are going to see izanami and the new ems jutsu (hopefully)
