Help with shining effect..

Ok so I have made an avatar for fun, but I want the shining effect on it. The one where there is a line shining across the avatar. Yeah, but I use gimp on a Mac. And I cannot seem to find the gimp GAP. So can u please help me with it?

you have to download gap. try going on youtube to find how to download it and use it, or use this whichever you would like

and anyhoe here is mine, i resized it so it would look better since standard members have to use a 150x200
