Maybe. But then I'm going deeper into this theory.

We know that Madara transplanted Izuna's eyes, in order to regain eternal light. But it was clear that Madara's eyes were sealed. So, if we are going into mathematics, it will be following formula:

Sealed MS + MS = EMS

So, if one of Itachi's eyes would be sealed in the process of using Izanami, then the questions is:

Is MS + Sealed MS = EMS?

That we don't know. But why would the second formulla be impossible if the first is possible?

I know this is far-fetched. But there are yet so many secrets in the Narutoverse. And as far as we know, Kishi never fails to surprise us with things we deem als impossible.

No it is'nt. That would be like saying Izuna's eyes were sealed and then Madara transplanted them and got EMS.

In order to get EMS you need two active and functional MS eyes from another user whose eyes have'nt lost the light. You're going against the manga here by stating Itachi used Izanami, when the manga categorically states that Izanami makes the eye go blind.

Sasuke's EMS is proof that neither of Itachi's eyes went blind.

Rofl!! on the enlarged bit. Made me laugh my kidneys out!

I don't think that is the question. I don't think Itachi was fully blind at his death, his vision was blurry and stuff but not fully blind or sealed.
Madara got new light, I am fairly certain that if Izuna put Madara's eyes into himself, they would not work. That's just me of course as it can't be proved.

I think your formula's are a tad silly :|

You are just assuming this as well. This hasn't been said in the manga.
If you want to re-read this:

"He plucked both eyes out of his younger brothers head. Light returned to madara's world, and the darkness never came again."

That's all that has been said about the transplantation of the eyes.

So we can assume that, if Sealed MS + MS = EMS, that MS + Sealed MS = EMS also. That's math, and I don't know wether Kishi is good in math or not. But until no evidence is given, we can only assume and use our brains :).

1) The 'blurry vision'-part was shown at the beginning of their battle.
2) If it seals away his eye, then it only seals one. Not the two of them.

I think you see the blurriness a few times, one being at end when he is swaying towards Sasuke.

I know the jutsu seals one. Which brings me back to my earlier point. regardless of your theory, why does Itachi get ET'ed with 2 functioning eyes? I thought they got resurrected as they were at the time of their death.

I'm not sure about that. Then why is Madara looking so young in ET, if we know that he survived and lived on for years after his fight with Hirashima

1) Madara was older then the 3rd hokage.
2) The 3rd hokage trained Jiraiya.
3) Jiraiya encountered Nagato he was about 20 years old. Madara knew Nagato, so he should have been about 50-60 years old (at least).

Just thought this was needed. Nice theory, by the way!

Considering the whole Nagato thing is still a mystery, there are a lot of theories on it and I have my own. But Kabuto states he enhanced Madara from his prime, so I think he is a special case.
See how Edo Nagato still can't walk... Well I do think Itachi still 'couldn't see' if he had used it before his death. But in the latest chapters you see both eyes equipped with his MS.

Nice, I give you that one :).

The whole ET-thingy is still a mystery, so we know nothing for sure. Why was Madara ET'd from his prime, but why wasn't Nagato even able to walk alone? All that's left are questions, waiting to be solved.

So, if Itachi used Izanami on Sasuke in his fight, why:
- was Sasuke able to transplant his eyes and gain the EMS?
- was Itachi revived with 2 working MS?

I tried to answer and to think over the answers to that questions in my previous posts, since none of these questions have been answered in the manga (the details about transplanting eyes and about the ET). Maybe it's some wishful thinking, or maybe it's just hope. We don't know it until the answers are given by Kishi :). Until then, we can only think and predict :).

Fair play mate, I do accept your theory as anything is quite literately possible in a manga.
Was just put my opinion against it.

But theorize on my friend! If you don't try you don't know xD
+ rep as it is quite original :)

I'm assuming, lol really? You bring me these made up stories that directly contradict the manga(see my first post) and i'm the one making stuff up? Ok, bro ok.
And how do you suppose the light returned?By using a blind eye? Then why transplant a former MS, technically any eye should be able to work that way.
Take a look at this:

Izuna has both his eyes OPEN in that pic.
Now look at this:

The one who uses izanagi will have his eyes closed tight, forever.

izanami forms a pair with izanagi, and also:

izanami makes you lose the light, like closed shut.
Yet Izuna's eyes were open in the pic so you CANNOT get EMS by transplanting closed eyes, ok?

Why don't you mention lady chiyo, who looked like an old woman when she was revived? Or Nagato, who's hair was white(a result of his fight just before dying with Naruto)?

This is the true power of Izanagi.

Or at least i was hoping Itachi also activated the rinnegan in his lifetime.
