Fair enough.i see your point, but im not going to assume. i'll still place minato over the 3rd. we have yet to see more on both of them but so far i think we can all agree minato> Hiruzen
Ok then :|minato>hiruzen>hashirama>tobirama>tsunade
Yeah, it could've gone either way :shrug:good list, although personally i feel that hashirama getting his due hype does not necessarily mean that he was better than hiruzen. personally i think that hashirama's hype doesn't contradict hiruzen's. minato on the other hand could have been the best, but his life was cut short. if he had reached his prime and developed a more powerful jutsu he could have doubtless surpassed his predecessors (kakashi said that the result of pairing the ultimate shape manipulation with elements could make a technique 10 times stronger or so iirc, and what minato lacks is power really)
so for me:
Hiruzen
Hashirama
Minato
Tobirama
Tsunade
Thanks ^^I saw the thread title, then your avatar and i thought ohh god please no/ sigh, then i saw you put the ranking list as the same as mine since like the beggining of shippuden, and knew i would agree with everything else you had to say, great post, agree 100%.
Yep, he was very powerful.Hiruzen is clearly second strongest Hokage.. (possible 1st...) but Hashirama is clearly the strongest Hokage/Kage ever!!!
Hashirama would completely crush almost any opponent.
Thanks ^^Dude, +rep
I totally agree
So do I....I wanted to see 3rd in his prime
Given your data book entry I would do it like thisOk so, LOL, I've seen that some people are slightly confused about who the strongest Hokage is.
Right, let me explain real easy for some of you................Minato is not the strongest Hokage. He is third strongest at best.
1. Hashirama Senju
2. Hiruzen PRIME
3. Minato Namikaze
4. Tobirama Senju
5. Tsunade
With the latest developments in the manga it must be said that Hashirama is the strongest Hokage.

However, prime Hiruzen is also beast. I cannot stress the importance of the word 'PRIME' enough when talking about Hiruzen.

Data book:
Even if you point out that Iruka could have some bias or that characters that have stated this don't know anything, Kishimoto himself says in every databook that Hiruzen in his prime was the most powerful Hokage. In the first databook alone, this is stated at least three times:
Page 117: "He is such a genius ninja that he was even called the 'Professor', and he still garners everyone's respect as the strongest Hokage in history." (「„プロフェッサー”と呼ばれたほ の天才忍者であり、歴代最強の火影 として皆の尊敬を集め続ける。」, "'Purofessā' to yobareta hodo no tensai ninja de ari, rekidai saikyō no Hokage toshite mina no sonkei o atsume tsuzukeru")
Page 119: "'Strongest in history', 'genius', et cetera, the words used to describe the Third Hokage are filled with respect." (「„歴代最強”„天才”など、三代 火影を形容する言葉は賞賛に満ちて いる。」, "'Rekidai saikyō' 'tensai' nado, Sandaime Hokage o keiyōsuru kotoba wa shōsan ni michite iru.")
Page 265: "The Third is called the strongest, even among the past Hokage, and he is even admired as the 'God of Shinobi'." (「三代目は歴代火影の中でも最強と われ、„忍の神”と謳われたことも 。」, "Sandaime wa rekidai Hokage no naka demo saikyō to iware, 'Shinobi no Kami' to utawareta koto mo")
Being old=/= being irrelevant. Both the 2nd AND the 3rd databook state the same thing.
I know alot of you don't want to accept it because you've only seen the old man version (which i'll admit would lose to Minato probably), but in his prime he was said to have surpassed his predessors and was known as the 'God of Shinobi'.
Hashirama Senju's feats speak for themselves. I don't think I need to waste energy trying to convinve some of you who are well and truley baffled: Hashirama > Minato.
The fact is, even at the age of 69 Hiruzen was still able to hold his own against edo Hashirama and Tobirama, not to mention Orochimaru. Add to that the fact he still had enough in the tank to use Death reaper jutsu on himself and 2 other shadow clones. This at age 69.

Why FTG is useless vs Hiruzen:
Minato needs to put seals on things. Tobi had no knowledge of this. Hiruzen did have knowledge of this, he wouldn't be dumb enough to go near a seal. Minato has to throw his Kunai if he wants to do FTG v2; easily countered by Hiruzen shadow clone shuriken.

Plus, Enma will keep Minato away from placing a seal on Sarutobi

I gave Minato the benefit of the doubt when it came to Tobirama Senju because we know little about his abilities but i'm sure there are some people who'd argue he could defeat Minato.
Anyway, I was just clearing that up because some people were a little confused, especially when it came to Minato U_U
That's how the list looked a couple months back. But, with the new chapters that came out, people felt the part 1 hype for Hiruzen was outdated and that Hashirama was the strongest. Although, I definately get what you're saying.Given your data book entry I would do it like this
1.Hiruzen Sarutobi
2.Hashirama Senju
3.Minato
4.Tsunade
5. Tobirama
Minato is atleast third yes. He was not stronger than Hashirama in fact Hashirama could have taken him out with Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees
The Databook Specifically says Hiruzen was the most powerful that can't be argued
Between Tsunade and Minato is arguable. That and if she was serving as hokage during the 9 tails attack she could have used her necklace in combination with Danzo and Yamato's suppression powers to stop the attack. In theory anyway. But So as not to be flamed to death by fanboys he will go third.
Tobirama. We know he uses space-time, edo tensei, and he had great chakra control and powerful water jutsus. But that's all we know. His edo-tensei was quite imperfect. He had good s/t. Every Hokage had good chakra control. We just don't have the feats to give him a higher ranking. The way in which he died didn't scream epic, yes it was a hokage move but meh... His fight with Kinkaku's squad isn't impressive because of Darui's feat
Fair enough.Hashirama is by far the strongest. Particularly when you look at facts we HAVE SEEN.
Taking on Madara and the fox is impressive... Yet to WIN is unbelievable.
Minato is the coolest Hokage and his jutsu is certainly top class. But it's unlikely he would beat Hashirama, not impossible. But unlikely.
Thanks ^^! agreeeeee bro
Fair enough.I'm sticking with Hiruzen > Hashirama > Tobirama > minato > tsunade
or
Hiruzen > Hashirama > Minato > Tobirama > tsunade
Hiruzen was after Hashirama so that does not take into account all other shinobi who came after him.You must be registered for see images
THIS SAYS EVERYTHING, HASHIRAMA WAS AND IS THE STRONGEST HOKAGE EVER WAS OR WILL BE.
Kishi > Everything you just said. Kishi has stated that Hiruzen in his prime (who wwe have not seen) was the strongest Hokage. Only put Hashirama ahead of him due to current manga references, but 1 month ago Hiruzen was ontop of that list. Nuff said.Hiruzen couldn't beat Madara or Hashirama.. Insane Mokuton skills, insane regeneration jutsu, insane brutal strenght, insane speend and everything first had.. It was said not so long ago that " I fear that no one but deceased first hokage could defeat madara " so by that it said that those two are the strongest which leaves Hiruzen not the strongest. I REALLY Agree with you by saying Minato is weaker then Hiruzen but.. Tobirama and Hashirama were really alot stronger than Sarutobi.. As sad as it may sound its true, third admited itself that Tobirama was beast.. And for the Sarutobi vs 1 ar 2 hokages.. Back then Edo tensei wasn't so perfect, so 1st and 2nd couldn't fight with their full powerAnyway dude just admit it Hiruzen would loose 1v1 fight to both 1st and 2nd hokages.
