Understanding edo tensie?

I dont understand edo one hundred percent. How is the sharingan of itachi with him while his eyes are in sasukes, same with tobi and nagato? Just how?

the user can change what they come back like. for example Edo Madara is far past his when he died because he unlocked the Rinnegan close to death, while he was brought back with it and his body in it's prime. While with Nagato it was closer to his death that he brought him back to.

Kabuto can also modify his summoned fighters, as he did with Madara Uchiha, claiming that he made him even better than he was in his prime. Tobi also modified the eyes of the revived jinchūriki to match his own, as well as resealing the tailed beasts back into their respective hosts.

Where do you people get the information from that Edo Tensei summons people in their prime? Just because Kabuto modified Madara's summoning doesn't mean all his summons are like that, Edo Tensei revives a person how he was right before his dead, meaning Nagato was still a pile of bones and Itachi still had his eyes.

Still, he came back completely emaciated and white haired. Just as he was immediately prior to death. I think he would have at least come back, the way he was half a day before death when he still had red hair and slightly less emaciated.

I don't think Kishi ever went into that detail about it. Nor should we. Just like you should never really go into detail about time travel in comics or movies.

Another question for you should be, how can they use chakra nature affinities that the sacrificed bodies most likely didn't contain.

because Edo tensai changes the sacrificed bodies. otherwise chakra nature wouldnt be the questions Kekkai Genkai and Kekkai Tota would be impossible.

can you provide a link to back up the bolded statement. I thought the only thing that was stated was that the soul of the resurrected goes into the body of the sacrificed and then ash and dust form around the sacrificed body to take the appearance of the resurrected. I don't believe it ever states how they can use the resurrected's jutsu. Like you, I would assume that the DNA of the resurrected some how grafts to the sacrificed body and alters it (similar to Kabuto being altered by Oro's DNA), but that is only an assumption. That is why in my post you replied to, I stated that Kishi never went into that much detail. He probably didn't want to go into that amount of detail because it could create plot holes. For instance, my assumption (DNA grafting) doesn't explain fully Itachi's edo having the Sword of Totsuka. That is also why some comics and sci-fi that delve into time travel don't actually explain how the time travel occurred. This allows for freedom to seal any paradox plot holes later. I could be way over-thinking this though :shrug:
