Yes someone good in the War needs to die... a main or supporting Character. Despite the fights wih reincarnated Characters, a few revelations, and some possible good fight scenes, it is hard to take this War seriously.
At this moment, what it lacks is a dramatic effect FOR ME, it is hard for me to feel empathy for the Characters, yes we have seen powerful Characters on the Arc, but none of these Characters have made go "I don't like that Character for what he did to this Character" - it's as though I barely see them as a threat at all, even though they are powerful.
Also when I say someone needs to die, it is not because I am "hating" on a Character, I just like the dramatic effect. The only times I said that I don't like this Character for what he did was when:
Nagato killed Jirayai - When people saw this they were obviously sad. Jirayai was a popular Character and was known for being very powerful and a sense of Humour. That's why it was dramatic, BUT it is also good. Why? The hype of the Leader of Akatsuki was huge, I mean he was a mystery before, but Kishi had a way of displaying this Character and show how powerful he was, by killing off one of the most powerful Characters on the show. It was shocking for most, probably not shocking for others who probably predicted it was going to happen.
Let's look at another alternative, if Jirayai survived against Nagato and he was barely injured or he survived, would you consider Nagato as powerful as you think he is now?
Another example. Hidan vs Asuma. When he died it was sad, but it woke me up and it made me more interested to see what happens to Hidan and Kakuzu and the fights were great for me.
I am NOT saying kill of a bunch of Side Characters for Dramatic effect, I am saying that a good Character needs to get die and NOT brought back.
