From the writers seat, it's a plot device. She confessed her love for him, and he's hardly spoken to her sense. This makes people wonder and ask these questions, it grabs there interest.

Am I the only one who finds people's obsession with genetic engineering irritating? He should marry the person he loves, not because he needs to produce children with special traits. Isn't the whole story based on "The Will of Fire" concept? That your love and dedication trump inherited abilities?

well Naruto was in his 4 tailed form when he hit Sakura (so he wouldn't have been consciously aware of himself) but Hinata confessed to him whilst he wasn't in beast mode, so that's not an issue

Naruto always talks about wanting Sasuke to acknowledge him yet he doesn't acknowledge Hinata's confession. Behaving like that wont earn you any brownie points Naruto !

Well he kinda did I guess, hopefully after the war we will be filled in on it...and no Naruto will not end up with Sakura, I heavily doubt that will happen
