I have been thinking to make a thread like this for a while regarding Sasuke's mindset about hatred and how justified it is.
My point here is it depends about what kind of hate it is and it is okay if it is pure "genuine" kind of hate.
If the hate is caused by the pain of loss, then you are destined to succeed - Gohan Super Kamehameha against Cell confirms this one.
That hate is caused by the loss of his father Goku due to Cell, which reasonable and justified - This is exactly what's Sasuke's hate. He lost his family and clan due to the elders and Danzo and he wants to destroy them.
But if the hate is caused by petty reasons like jealousy "I hate the guy because he is better than me" (Naruto hated Sasuke because of this) or some stupid crap, that kind of hate will not last long.
The best example is Madara. His hatred to the village and the Uchiha clan was caused by petty reason. It has no backing.
What bad did they do to him to make him hate them? The clan did disagree with him on the Hokage thing, but Madara did chose to leave the village on his own and attack the village. For what? Did they murder his family? Did they torture him? No.
He was just jealous that Hashi was the Hokage, and not being him. His cause of "hate" was just due to "jealousy" (just like Naruto hated Sasuke because he was better than him) which was indeed bound to fail.
and he did... Madara lacks hatred... true hatred, and that's why he failed.
Sasuke doesn't, and that's why he pwned Mokuton Yamato is 1 sec while Madara was defeated by Shodai despite being equal on power.
Sasuke successfully assassinated that son of a... bastard Danzo (I loved that fight) because Danzo was on the wrong side.
I hope you loved reading this, just feel free to post.

......You sir, are a retard.
I will stick to the bolded statements, although I could go further if I wanted to make my point.
You are saying that one of the most powerful Ulchiha "Main Villians" doesnt have true hate?!? WTF are you talking about??? Do you understand that it takes true pain/true hate to unlock the evolution powers of the eyes?
Madara DOESNT only have "jealousy" hate towards Konoha. First of all, during an era of continuous war, since every country recognized Senju/Ulchiha as the strongest Clans, they ALWAYS FOUGHT EACHOTHER. Many, and I mean many shinobi from BOTH clans died constantly because of this. Senju shinobi specifically is the reason for probably most of the deaths that were experienced by the Ulchiha. Who knows exactly what members of their family was killed by Senju??? Here the true pain begins.
Also, to unlock the MS, you need to watch your closest friend/family die and feel the pain. Are you trying to tell me Madara unlocked his MS without feeling this type of pain, even though Itachi and Sauske both endured this pain to get further eye evolution?
Ultimately Madara was disowned by the very clan he almost gave his life to lead and protect. He felt the pain of having his entire clan turn their backs on him after he had risked his life on countless battles against the very people they were making a truce with. He had a RIGHT to feel weary about this new union, despite the peace talk. He wasnt jealous that Hashi was named Hokage; he was HATEFUL that they were ever considering combining both clans into one village after all the people that both Clans killed.
Just another point. Sauske (according to you) has "real" and "true" hate... but we all know this doesnt matter, because in the end when he faces Senju Descent (Just like when Madara fought Hashi, as you talked about) Sauske will LOSE no matter what, even if he does unlock the rinnegan. Even if he has more "HATE" than another other Ulchiha ever, he will still lose. Having true "hate" doesnt verify/guarantee victory, it depends which side you are on (Good/Bad) which ultimately determines the outcome. FYI
