Kumi Usage Suggestion

Well from the short time that Ive been here... Ive seen that Kumi has little to no use apart from the requests of avis and sigs, so I came up with an idea >__< *if you dont like it, then come up with something better than mine .__.*
So my idea is.... What if Kumi can be used to redeemed anime/manga related merchandise such as: (keychains,stickers,manga, dvds, games, collectible cards, plushies, pins, charms, necklaces, etc...)
But of course this involves money i know... nb needs money to maintain itself, but what if the only way you can redeem your kumi for merchandise like this is only if you are premium members, and there is a limit as too how much you can redeem each month, this will benefit both the website and the members.
So what do you guys think about this idea?

No, as pervy said premium is used to maintain the site, i believe kumi should be used for RP permissions like fuuinjutsu permission is 10k kumi, or CM is 15k and so on.

Yes i understand, but one of the things is that this would only apply to persons who have premium membership, and there are limits as too how many things you can redeem each month, (for the purpose of making them keep on buying premium if they so desire to redeem more stuff)
also i listed small stuff like keychains, plushies, cards... it would be simple stuff that wouldnt cost so much.
I know there are flaws but Idk if some you guys understand what Im trying to say... >__< when i start talking a lot I even confuse myself O_O

To be honest I like this, as it would be so much better if we are gonna talk Kumi-wise.

the only way to do what you are saying would be to charge every user and then make base merchidise but then you have to get invloved with kishi and trade marks sorry man not really possible

Well according to what i suggested ONLY premium members would be able to do this, and i have seen tons of ppl with a significant amount of kumi that are not premium, and if they would like to join in on this thing they would have to buy it, and the more members buying premium the more money nb makes, which a small portion can be used for merchandise as what ive suggested doesnt cost an enormous amount of money, as well as detailed information would have to be discussed by the admins. as i have no power to say how everything should work out i am merely suggesting this idea.

The way you explain it actually makes sense however, it depends upon the amount of people who purchase said merchandise, because if enough people were to the site would actually lose money.

That's taking a dangerous risk though. Also most ppl here don't have Premium because they can't afford it.

So recap, You want NB staff to get items (keychains, plushies, etc.) so Premium members can buy them, right? And because there are items to buy now, you think that more people will buy Premium just to have access to buy items only?

No, Kumi should not play a role in buying real life items.

It would be expensive, even if it's restricted to premium members. Keeping in mind that a standard plush doll would be roughly $20, not to mention shipping and so on. Kumi is an online thing, and as such should only be kept for online matters. Right now it's like M.Bison money: useless.

Kumi has no value when compared to real money. How can you exchange kumi for things which cost money in real life? It makes no sense.

You give an idea, and people will have their insight on it and express their feeling about it. It's a natural thing for suggestions. If you're going to be scared of the outcome of what people think, then don't suggest anything.

All in all, I think it's a nice idea but it's impractical. The site doesn't really have the funds to be giving out prizes and so on for getting x amount of kumi.
