Rinnegan can't be turned off in general, it's permanently on. I don't know why kishi made it so madara can switch between ems and rinnegan once his eyes evolved to rinnegan his ems should have been gone.

Errrhem! this thread is about how ridiculous and boring the talk of Rinnegan has become. When Pain had one, that was epic and it should have ended there! Tobi taking them was like... meehhhh okay I'll let that one slide, but now Madara has one, and endless threads of how Naruto or Sasuke will get one.

Like do you honestly want that happening? Why not Shino eh? he has bugs they can be like his Six paths. yarrr that will do as an example of a better story than Naruto or Sasuke getting rinnegan.

Just to point this out.... there is only 1 rinnegan in the series thus far.

Edo Madara has a Rinnegan because he died with it in his skull.
Being an Edo, he's entitled to what he had in life at the time of his death.

After that, someone, most likely Tobi, ripped the rinnegan out of Madara's skull and put them into Nagato.

After Nagato died with the Rinnegan still inside his skull (hence why his Edo had the Rinnegan), Tobi took both eyes from Nagato's skull.

He put 1 of them in his head, leaving 1 to just sit and collect dust (maybe for zetsu.... we don't know.).

My point here is that the Rinnegan is still quite rare. Speculation based on Naruto or Sasuke getting one is somewhat premature, but in a way it heralds back to the early part of the series with Itachi telling Sasuke to 'obtain the Mangekyo Sharingan'.

The Rinnegan is the new Mangekyo.

No he just talks a lot of nonsense and longs out each and every chapter he is in with pointless dialogue and attacks that have absolutely no result what so ever.

Tsunade for example, and now he has just made 5 clones for each kage to fight alone. Cell Jr's in the Cell Games perhaps?

Only a matter of time before some one fuses. or goes beyond sage mode to Super Sage mode 2.

There are only 4 pair of rinnegan eyes, the ones from the sage and the ones from madara.
The ones from madara were the ones on nagato that is the one on tobi, he has the other hidden.
Kishi is playing very smart thinking of ways to bring it into the story while still keeping its rare status.

I prefered part one where every ninja was a genious with a more or less unique set of abilities.

These days it's more of a pissing contest. I still enjoy the show tho'.
