lets say the sage didn't have the rinnegan tell he sealed the 10 tail inside of him.

now the ten tail's chakra would haven't to have an effect on him as the 10 tails chakra leaked out or when he learned to use it.

so the sage then would of had to been a expert in sealing jutsu.

sage could of had massive ammounts of chakra like naruto and naguto.

giving him the ability to keep the beast sealed away.

so just a thought, but could the senju clan and uchiha clan be desendents of the uzumaki clan?

The senju clan and uchiha clan started with the sages 2 sons. So it could be true, that is if the age himself as you said was a Uzumaki, but I doubt this.

Its not assumed. It stated in the manga it self that the Senju and Uzumakis are cousins. Which means Uzumaki blood comes from Senju blood
