A young man would enter the training grounds, his milky white hair swaying in the gentle breezes as his deep blue eyes trace the surroundings. He was looking for something or better yet, for someone. He had one goal in mind and that ambition would be the very thing that kept him alive day to day. Until he attained this desire he would never perish. His existence would latch on to the world until he achieved what it was he wanted. However, he could not do it alone. Yukio had a long way to go and he needed others to point him down the right path. Impatience overwhelming him, he leaned against a tree and gazed up at the sky.

A slight breeze comes over the battlefield. Slowly, but surely, the breeze start to gain speed and power. It feels as if a raw, primitive power is stirring in the sky. Clouds form, the sky darkens. As the storm starts to take it's toll on the training field, it abruptly halts. Silence. Out of the nothingness that has just been created, a large lightning bolt strikes down, while his brothers further terrorize the sky.

The sudden gusts began to make Yukio's clothes fluster and wave about, his hood still promptly over his head as the chain connected to his waist dangled in the wind. Yukio was shook from his deep thoughts by the sudden force and his gaze deepened as the sky became filled with dark gray clouds. The beauty of the vast blue sky he was peering at was now anew. The calm and relaxing essence formed into an atmosphere filled with sheer pressure from what seemed to be a powerful presence. Lightning struck, but only to soon silence the thunder as it flashed out once more. A single volt that erupted from the stormy clouds to emerge as a figure of a man. "Welcome, youngling." the words echoed inside Yukio's thoughts and with a smirk across his face he replied, "I should be welcoming you." After releasing a soft chuckle the smirk became a smile. Placing his right hand along his hood he slowly pulled it up as he turned his head towards the man. "You're late. . ." the words escaped his parted lips in a gentle tone.

As the word part from Yukio's mouth, the man can not help but smirk. "I'm late?" asked the man with a tone of surprise. "Time is but an illusion that we, our puny mortal race, created to keep us in check. I do wonder how we can use something so abstract to keep us in check, as it is not even one little bit in our hands. No, time is relative." the man said with an obvious hint of sarcasm, yet pleasure fluttered in his tone as the words left his mouth. Slowly, he started walking over to Yukio. "You are ready then, ready to have... The time of your life, let's say?" said the man as he chuckled.

"I'm not here to have fun old man." Yukio had no time to waste. The path was too long for him to be stall or stop. With a look of determination in his eyes, the smirk from before came back to his facial expression and he stepped forward towards his sensei. "I'm here to train. . ." sheer excitement within his words as he gestured the man to begin the lessons. He had a lot to learn. Though it was faint, a spark could be sensed from within him. A spark waiting to ignite a flame. It wasn't power he wanted. But for his ambition power would be needed and through the upcoming events Yukio will unlock the power nesting inside of him. "So tell me sensei. . . what's first?"

The masked man smirked as he heard Yukio. There was something about this kid, something peculiar. Interest having been taken in him, the cloaked stranger took off his hood. "First of all, you may call me V." said the man as he let his mantel slip onto the ground. "The ways of lightning are dangerous, but the reward can be just as great. If you fear the perilous task that is set before you to manipulate this task, I suggest you leave and come back from the hell-forsaken town you came from. If you can follow my every lead, I will make you rise to power." The man said. He continued by starting the training session. "Tell me everything you know so far about the element of lightning, and if this suffices, we will start the actual training."

"Lightning is one of the five basic elements along with fire, wind, water and earth. Though it is not as strong or fast as natural lightning, the lightning release is still known for its speed and piercing strength. It is pure energy that can be infused into blades to cause marvelous cutting abilities using vibrations. Another main ability of it other than shocking is paralyzing. Its relationships with the other five basic elements are follows:

Fire vs Lightning: Due to both being energies without physical form, the winner of this match up is purely depend on the users and how well they can utilize their element.

Water vs Lightning: Caution is to be taken when this match up occurs. Though water can be used in conjunction with lightning to cause extra damage to the opponent, it can be turned against you as well.

Lightning vs Lightning: Just as fire, the outcome of this match up depends on how well one can utilize the element.

Wind vs Lightning: It is said that wind will always beat lightning. However, a true shinobi knows not to believe this. No element, if used right, has a weakness it cannot overcome. Though it is true that wind is a good electric insulator and has a natural strength against it, it will not always win against lightning. If you are a true fighter you will note that lightning can use its sparks to ignite certain materials such as trees. With this attribute lightning can easily make fire, winds greatest weakness.

Earth vs Lightning: An earth release user must fear a lightning master for the ground cracks and crumbles at the power of lightning.

All in all lightning is mainly a offensive nature but can just as well be used for a great defense. An example of a kekkei genkai that requires lightning is storm release which is the combination of lightning and water. The range of the element can easily extend from close range to long range. A variation of the lightning release would be the black lightning that was first used by the third raikage whom passed it on to Darui. Some well known lightning release techniques are the lightning release armor, Kakashi's chidori and sasuke's kirin. Each of these techniques help show evidence of the lightning releases extreme speed and piercing abilities." Yukio could go on and on but he decided not to fill V's head with information he already knew. Besides, he had a good feeling that the given info would suffice. Showing confidence in his already existing knowledge of the element, Yukio grew impatient and desired for the real training to begin.

"Good good. You seem to have done your homework." Said V as he slowly walked around the training field. He then walked up to Yukio. "Hold you hands like a cup." As Yukio did this, V filled his cupped hands with water. "Now, focus your basic chakra. When you feel you reach a sufficient amount, start to think about lightning and the characteristics. Try to implements these components to your chakra, and we shall see if you posses the capability to manipule it..."

Yukio raised an eyebrow as V told him to cup his hands, but of course he would not question his way of teaching. Without hesitation he cupped his hands out in front of him and listened to V's instructions as he poured the water into his hands. He seemed to notice every detail about the water from its average temperature to what shade of color it was. After giving his sensei a quick nod to show he understood he closed his eyes. Silence and concentration filled his entire being as Yukio began to pour his chakra into the water. At first, the raging energy erupted from his entire body. But, with a few more seconds of focusing the raging surges of chakra swirling around him was centered to only his hands. The water seemed to ripple from Yukio surging his chakra to it; it bended to his chakra and will as he made it flow into a mini whirlpool in his grasp. Now having the chakra control done he was ready to move on to the next step. The ripples in the water stopped as Yukio calmed his flow of chakra and the silence broke as he opened his eyes and uttered, "Think of lightning?" He didn't know how visioning lightning would help him form his chakra into it, but none the less he listened. Closing his eyes once more he let out a soft sigh and began to flow his chakra once more. Within his mind rushed several visions of lightning as Yukio imagined being caught in a thunderstorm, the rain drops gliding against his skin as the volts reached out for the ground. In his deep thought he kept his chakra surging and in a brief moment one would be able to see a slight fraction of the chakra formed into lightning. However the spark only lasted a second and soon faded. At first glance this may have been upsetting but with a closer look one would see Yukio wasn't done yet. The small spark wasn't his limit. Deep down within his being a storm was raging and he was doing his best to unleash it. Seconds went by and the water in Yukio's hands began to rage about as the chakra was flowed through it. The intensity continued to slightly rise until finally one more small spark was made. A calm suddenly came as the water began to settle back down. But, before Yukio's chakra flow completely stopped and the water could be at rest, the storm building up inside Yukio was unleashed. Volts of lightning started to form at his hands within the water before several more cloaked his entire body. Within seconds his entire figure was engulfed in a frenzy of lightning bolts that surged around him and lashed out at all nearby targets. The volts even began to crack the ground below Yukio, showing proof that earth crumbled within the might of lightning. Soon enough the storm began to calm as Yukio opened his eyes. With volts still surging out of his body he glanced at his hands before looking up at V. There was something about the look in his eyes that seemed to say, "Was that good enough sensei." But no words escaped him. He awaited the approval of V before moving on.

"This is odd... The water should have conducted the lightning and shock him... Is he...?!" thought V to himself. Without letting any of his concerns become clear to his student. "Let me test something. Stand still." V walked over to his student, and while he ever so slowly approached Yukio, released a static, non-focused current of lightning. He then extended the lightning over to Yukio, numbing him in the process. "Now, isn't that something different?"

Yukio stayed still as told before allowing the man to approach. With the lightning still surging around his body he asked, "Is it time to move on to the next lesson sensei?" Yukio seemed oblivious to the fact that he should be in pain, this of course was because he had already been numbed the second he unleashed the lightning. It was true that the water would have conducted the lightning and shocked him but since he still lacked full control of the lightning he numbed himself in the process of unleashing the volts. This unintentional numbing allowed him to be engulfed by the volts without harm, even giving him a slight similar appearance to once wearing lightning armor. The lightning sent at Yukio by V only furthered the numbing at that's what made Yukio realize it. He couldn't feel his arms let alone most of his body yet he somehow stood in stance and kept the lightning surging around him. He refused to give in to his mistakes or show any weaknesses. "What's different?" Yukio spoke in a curious tone as he glanced at V once more.

"Bwahaha, what's different he asks. Do you really think that the power you have at hand is at my level? It seems your resistance to lightning is very good. We'll break that somehow, don't worry." V smiled a tad sadistically as he looked at Yukio, though his mask hid any expression he made.

"Now, form some chakra again over your left hand, but without water this time. It shouldn't have any effect, but I'll see how well you can channel it and I can determine what you are capable of being taught." said V, with a tone of sarcasm in his voice.

There was nothing that Yukio could not be taught or master and he would prove that. With a look of determination upon his face he swiftly held out his left hand. He had now grasped the storm that was sealed within him and he was more than ready to tame it. As thoughts of the pouring rain and lightning volts tearing out of the sky filled his head, Yukio concentrated one more. Within seconds his chakra was focused into his hand and then formed into lightning, allowed strong current of electricity to emerged into his grip. At first the lightning scattered and raged about without guidance, crumbling the earth below Yukio's feet. However, in only a moment more Yukio had focused the lightning further and began to manipulate it's form. The swirling volts were bent and pushed until they began to from neat and precise volts that struck directly below Yukio's left hand as they erupted from a center point of a bunched up mass of electricity. In a sense it appeared like a rough draft of a chidori though it was not made into a straight point and its full nature wasn't achieved due to Yukio not knowing how to perform the technique and not having enough knowledge or control over the lightning release. But, even this minor form of control and manipulation was surely a shocking sight to see performed by one who has just started their training with the element.

Performing it: Yukio nodded in acceptance and began to surge his chakra into his hands. Once he formed the energy into its lightning nature he slammed his fist into the ground and shouted, "Lightning Release: Lightning Surge!" With this being done the volts scattered across the ground and shocked all nearby objects, including striking and crumbling small rocks surrounding him.

Advantages/When you would use this: The advantages of this technique is that it can force the opponent to move back or escape into the air. If you want to try to get your opponent into the air or you feel like they are getting to close and you want to increase the distance between the two of you then you can use this technique to push them back.

Disadvantages/How would you counter: The disadvantages of this technique is the reach is very short and it can easily be countered by a stronger surge of lightning or gust of wind.

2. Lightning Style: Raging Thunder

Performing it: Yukio would close his eyes and relax, using the utmost focus for this next technique. Within a short moment he cloud feel the storm sealed within him raging about and slowly but surely he would begin to tame it once more. This time he once the volts were surging through him he began to make them seep out of his body until they formed a static field around his entire figure. With this, his body was covered in volts and the technique was complete.

Advantages/When you would use this: The main advantage of this technique is it keeps the opponent's physical assault's at bay. Unless they have some means of defense against the volts, it makes it dangerous for them to approach you and try to attack you with direct contact. More than likely, using this technique will force your opponent to keep their distance and stick to long range attacks, giving you the space you may need to prepare and plan ahead.

Disadvantages/How would you counter: A disadvantage of this is that if you are struck with a water technique the current could turn against you and in result begin to shock you instead of protecting you. To counter the move simply neutralize it with a wind release or protect yourself from it with your own superior volts just as Raikage used his lightning armor to protect him from chidori.

3. Lightning Style: Thunder Saber

Performing it: As instructed Yukio did the same as before and surrounding his body with a static field of lightning. Once he was engulfed by the volts he began to concentrate further. In a swift and outward tension he forced the lightning to burst out, creating an explosion of electricity to blow back any nearby targets.

Advantages/When you would use this: Just like the others before, this technique can push back your opponent and force them to make the distance between the two of you greater, giving you a chance to stick to long range assaults instead of risking taking direct and close range damage.

Disadvantages/How would you counter: The radius of the burst is not large and some opponents may be too powerful/heavy to push back a great distance. And just like the others, it can be neutralized with wind.

4. Lightning Release: Thunder Burn

Performing it: Yukio would nod in agreement with the orders before turning his attention towards a nearby tree. After concentrating he was able to build up lightning into his hand and then into his fingertips. Once this was done Yukio let out a large burst of volts that were sent straight at the tree, each of them hitting dead on. The sparks from the volts would then catch the bark of the tree on fire as Yukio turned back to his teacher to see if all he did was good enough.

Advantages/When you would use this: Using this technique you can ignite certain materials such as dry wood. Being that lightning's main weakness is wind, it puts you at a great advantage to be able to use the sparks to set ablaze materials to create fire to counter the wind.

Disadvantages/How would you counter: Disadvantages to this techniques is pretty much it's all out weakness. You won't be able to just use this technique for power playing. You will instead have to work it out into some sort of strategy and plan. If you can do that, even the weakest of techniques can be come extremely useful.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to create a wave of electricity from the user's hands. This jutsu can vary in power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. It is ideal to use in conjunction with a water jutsu.

For this technique you would usually use it in conjunction with a water technique. But I dont think you have some so you manipulate your lightning chakra to form a wave of electricity in your hands and then you can move it within short range.

This technique is simple. Gather up your lightning chakra in your hands manipulate it into a ball and then launch it at a tree. It should create burns to some extent.

Performing it: Once instructed Yukio would begin to concentrate some of his chakra into his hands. After a few seconds he was able to form lightning within his grasp. "Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder!" he called out as the volts were suddenly sent in a violent wave upon the area in front of him. The lightning was strong enough to slightly crack the ground below in which it struck.

Advantages/When you would use this: The advantages of this is it's wide range that will make it hard for the opponent to simply side step it. Aside from the extra damage it could deal when fused with water it can also temporarily paralyze the opponent, leaving them open for a finishing blow.

Disadvantages/How would you counter: If done right the technique could easily be sent back at you and in result end up shocking you instead. The wave of electricity would also be very easy to blow back with a gust of wind.

2. Lightning Release: Lightning Ball

Performing it: As soon as the waves of lightning were released Yukio then took the extra lightning volts within his hand and concentrated them into an orb. Once the sphere was made Yukio called out, "Lightning Release: Lightning Ball!" With this being done the ball of electricity was sent flying forward and great momentum. The orb would have caught the volts from the electromagnetic murder techniques and then continued straight for a tree nearby. The massive flurry of volts would then in turn ignite the tree and set it a blaze as the impact of the electrical orb burst.

Advantages/When you would use this: Because of it's shape and nature this makes a great projectile that could be used in conjunction with other techniques including additional lightning releases.

Disadvantages/How would you counter: The problem with it is that the orb is quite small and can be easily dodge or neutralized with a large gale of wind, however using the technique in conjunction with others will make it a much better missile.

"Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder!" he called out as the volts were suddenly sent in a violent wave upon the area in front of him. The lightning was strong enough to slightly crack the ground below in which it struck.

Advantages/When you would use this: The advantages of this is it's wide range that will make it hard for the opponent to simply side step it. Aside from the extra damage it could deal when fused with water it can also temporarily paralyze the opponent, leaving them open for a finishing blow.

Disadvantages/How would you counter: If done right the technique could easily be sent back at you and in result end up shocking you instead. The wave of electricity would also be very easy to blow back with a gust of wind.

2. Lightning Release: Lightning Ball

Performing it: As soon as the waves of lightning were released Yukio then took the extra lightning volts within his hand and concentrated them into an orb. Once the sphere was made Yukio called out, "Lightning Release: Lightning Ball!" With this being done the ball of electricity was sent flying forward and great momentum. The orb would have caught the volts from the electromagnetic murder techniques and then continued straight for a tree nearby. The massive flurry of volts would then in turn ignite the tree and set it a blaze as the impact of the electrical orb burst.

Advantages/When you would use this: Because of it's shape and nature this makes a great projectile that could be used in conjunction with other techniques including additional lightning releases.

Disadvantages/How would you counter: The problem with it is that the orb is quite small and can be easily dodge or neutralized with a large gale of wind, however using the technique in conjunction with others will make it a much better missile.

Descripton: By forming hand seals Snake → Upside down Tiger → Hands clapped together and running up a cliff face, the user causes stone and rock above him to become dislodged and rain down past him onto his opponents below by releasing a wave of electrical energy. However, this is extremely location-based and needs to be done uphill of a mountain for it to work

Run up a cliff, do the required handseals and then channel your chakra into the earth and using your raiton chakra dislodge them and cause them to rain down on whoever is behind you by releasing a wave of electrical energy.
