Kiba and Shikamaru VS Shino and choji

I dunno, Choji's lucky he's seen Shikamaru use the chakra blades though, so Team 2 would have knowledge of it (or so I'd think). I know he can differentiate the shadows when they're caught in his own techique, I just don't know if it works the same with the chakra blades. It's fifty fifty here, since Shikamaru said it acted as the origin of his jutsu, but used his technique after he was already caught in the shadow. It could also be that he has to be the one casting the technique if he wants to move the person, as a blade can't move by itself. I feel that Shikamaru should be given the benefit of the doubt in some cases, as we can't really judge his abilities in a forums match since most of his ability stems from his intelligence. Remember that he still has smoke bombs etc.

i see. i give everyone credit where it is due. however, i asked because i've never seen shikamaru effectively in a tag match, and his shadows might pose a problem if not used correctly, or if his partner isn't in sync with him. the only real setback i see here is choji...because he's choji...he's just brute force, and nothing else. i'd also like to point out that, if need be, shino could tank one of kiba/akamaru's fang over fangs or whatever they're called, and trap him inside a bug globe and deal with him effectively. i highly doubt shika's shadows would be able to penetrate it to save kiba. of course, choji probably would be dealt with already, by shikamaru. thus, this is really a fight between shino and shika. and i'd say shino would win. location being key

Shikamaru dies instantly. He is near useless in a battle of this scale, strategy is far from everything and in a battle with such power houses and giants there's no way he's going to be able to hold anyone down. Before Chouji smashes him or he gets hit in the crossfire of Shino/Chouji and Kiba's double-headed wolf transformation. Shino also renders Shikamaru useless in his own right, his Shadows aren't going to be used on the scale to capture any of Shino's bugs.

Being that Chouji is simply too large to be affected by any trap Shikamaru can think of or make use of, and Shino also has the intelligence and bunshin-feint advantage, he is virtually useless. I do think Kiba is stronger than everyone here individually, however when against Chouji and Shino at the same time I doubt he can win.

With that said, Shino and Chouji win more times than not.

If it comes down to Shino vs Shikamaru in this location, than yeah I'll give it to Shino here unless Shikamaru somehow preps something by than.

While that might be true, he's failed to ever make great use of it in battle or where it needs to be used. Other characters who apparently have less of an IQ have accomplished much more intelligent battle plans. And as I said, no matter how smart, if the opponent outclasses you in so many ways and you're simply outclassed in general, just being smarter won't give you a win.

Chouji can go giant and slam his hand on the ground and Shikamaru is done for, his shadows are 100% unable to hold someone like him back. And Shino's bugs are in the thousand, he will catch 3 bugs with his shadow and as he's at his limit 997 of the remaining bugs will still be heading for him. Either member of the other team can make very short work of Shikamaru,

All depends on If shikamaru can lan shadow or Chakra blade. If he can Kibas Fang over fang could wipe out the person hit. If he can't Shino and Chubby will take it.
