sasuke very tactical in battle against strong oponent like danzo and dediara.He current show us he can read by doing some research against a powerful oponent like orichimaru before he fight him.A normal /simple minded ninja will rush in to battle without thinking.Sasuke make sure he was prepare before he faught orichimaru rather than being save

We already know sasuke intelligent level which was highly underrated by other fans in his previous battle.Current we saw that sasuke did alot of research before he challenge Orichimaru in his base.This is also confirm sasuke beat orichimaru and he was nt save by plot no jutsu

No, I don't think so, he had to make a research in order to kill Oro(even though Oro was his sensei), but Shikamaru learned Hidan's crapy jutsu in one day, and he could have developed an strategy to kill him. That's my opinion.

there is only one way to find out (though it's obviously Shikamaru): A BATTLE OF SHOGI! even Asuma can't defeat Shikamaru.

One more thing: As we have seen in the recent chapter, Sasuke is too reckless in fighting compared to Shikamaru.

i think you're getting power mixed up with intelligence. Just because sasuke beat somebody using a little research or intelligence (and the rest raw power) doesnt make him Shikamaru smart. But what he is, is much much MUCH stronger than shikamaru(obviously).

Put it this way... Sasuke had to research to beat Orochimaru... Where as Shikamaru went through every detail that Hidan had ever done and not only figured out his ability, but also a way to defeat it... That's the difference between the 2 of them.

If Sasuke weren't able to use genjutsu, he would die against Deidara. And even so, he barely saved his butt. He had to do research for three years to take down Oro, and yet he still waited till Oro got sick.

I won't deny that he's intelligent, but he doesn't compare to Shikamaru.
