No they were not specific about what jutsu they were referring to but why would he need the reaper death seal that is why I think they were talking about it.

Naruto CAN'T use the death reaper seal as a jinkuriki. Minato said that wheb he used t. So why the hell would he be left a technique he can't use to complete?

I don't really think there is a way to complete Reaper Death Seal. It's pretty final. The only way to "complete" it would be not to die afterwards. But that contradicts the nature of the technique.

I'm pretty sure that the jutsu he is referring to is the Bijuu mode. The key would open up the seal so Naruto could seize control of Kurama's power.
