Besides, the spikes aren't trying to kill him.
Kisame was still conscious and could still move even after Guy used the 7 gates on him. Naruto in SM is much more durable than Kisame.

What makes you think that?.
I Doubt Sm naruto could move After Taking much a Hit. Also Kisame took a Hit from Km naruto Befor hand and still kept Going.
I would say Kisame is far more durable than Sm naruto.

Where's the evidence that KM Naruto is any stronger(physically) than SM Naruto? In fact I'd actually say that form is probably weaker than SM. Naruto in SM picked up a giant rhino and threw it. Also Naruto fell on spikes and felt literally nothing.
Naruto also endured the pain of having 7 black rods stabbed through him by Pain.
My opinion is that SM Naruto is definitely more durable than Kisame, but you're free to believe otherwise.

Sage Mode is not only stronger than the Gates modes but it also doesn't carry the same risks.
Gai goes 8 gates he dies.
Gai goes 7 gates and doesn't win within the time allowed,he gets too tired to continue.
Naruto would win this fight.

Punch for Punch Sm might be physically stronger, But when you Add Km's Speed to a Punch, I think he hits much Harder.

And none of this is new to me nor does it convince me Kisame is more durable than SM Naruto. They've both shown exceptional feats when it comes to tanking, but imo SM Naruto just seems the more durable shinobi.
You're free to believe what you want though.

Naruto in SM would win, I'm not sure if Naruto in SM is stronger than gui with 7 gates but Naruto would win and here's is a reason.
as you can see here he can sense danger, so this would happen to gai.
Imo Naruto would win with mid difficulty.
