Where did this dude obtain the rinnegan from?

Im just wondering because if he had to obtain the rinnegan by going through the various forms of the sharingan first who did he get mangekyo sharigan eyes from to awaken his eternal mangekyo sharingan? ...... then also who did he kill to awaken the mangekyo sharingan cause it seems he is a man of peace why would he kill someone so close to him

i really hope kishi goes into his story further :/

The Sharingan mutated from the Sages Eyes in the beginning. Searching Google would be more useful than making this thread but. All I can say is wow he is the originator he didn't go through sharingan or any of that. For all we know he created the Rinnegan like everything else.

Yeah,I really really hope Kishi explains more. My theory is that he was BORN with all this stuff. He was born these powers..thats all I know o_o maybe the aliens decided he was the propchery of aliens o:

Rinnegan was the first occular power. sharigan, bayakugan etc. are all mutations after 100's of years. so i'd say he never went through the sharigan stages. its probably more likely that he was born with the rennigan
