I think there are too may who think if a beats b and b has beaten c, then a is stronger then c.

I think it all comes down on who you are fighting against and every character except for bosses like edo madara and tobi have strength and weaknesses.

While Itachi is a very balanced charakter he would loose against those who are able to have intense area of effect or area of effect altering jutsus where amet and suss mirror of defense would be useless.

Edo itachi is far stronger then normal itachi because he a) can't die b) no limits to overpowering abilities.
