It was the Bijuu Dama and Rasenshuriken AND Yasaka Magatama combined that could destroy it, how can Yasaka Magatama alone destroy it?

I've been seeing things on this forum like itachi fanboys overrate him he can't go against Madara, Minato, Jiraiya, Hashirama, & (EMS)Sasuke. You guys need to face the facts that Itachi is the prodigy of the uchiha clan right along shisui and 98% of the characters can't and wouldn't be able to take him on.
Let me start it out on his speed combined with his stealth surpasses mostly everybody else. Here you can see Itachi sneak up behind killer bee properly where as minato couldn't. No I am not saying Itachi is faster then Minato just his stealth is better as you see below Minato had not realized that killer had a knife towards his gut until it was too late.
Itachi's Taijutsu is also incredible he was able to go head to head with Rikudō mode naruto as were Kisame fused with Samehada started gushing blood after one hit. While Itachi was fightning naruto killer bee did try to swing at him while his back was turn and stilled missed, Killer continued fightning Itachi with that same 7 sword attack which even sasuke couldn't go against which itachi easily dodged.
Itachi's Amaterasu is a technique far beyond anybody normal can handle, the technique mostly no one has a chance against it even though garra sand block against a small amount of Amaterasu against a large scale his sand would have no chance. When Pein attacked the leaf village his summoning dog was ripping everything thing apart from jounin,Anbu, & Toad summoning no one was able to stop it but Itachi was able to with a simple Amaterasu. Itachi's fight with sasuke wasn't he sick and dieing at the time and look towards the large scale of flames he was able to pull out even after casting a weak Tsukuyomi & Genjutsu and using two crow clones before that plus a genjutsu on naruto.
Itachi's Genjutsu well lets be real with this one that's his specialty i've seen people say that he wasn't able to cast genjustu long range. When Itachi went to speak to Naruto that was a crow clone not the real Itachi , the real one was at the Uchiha hideout so what does that make it a short range or long range genjutsu? He's defeated Naruto,Kakashi,Orochimaru,Sasuke and countless ninja just with Genjutsu

It never said he needed there help he just suggested they do there strongest long range attacks

It countered Kirin with 0 damage done to Itachi
Zetsu said it made Itachi Invincible
He could simply let himself be drawn to the middle of CT and be fine.
Look im not saying Itachi would automatically beat Nagato. All i am saying is that i believe he has the tools to be able to, but in the same aspect so does Nagato. A lot of it is speculation on whether or not certain things happen or have the ability to do something
ex. Can Yata counter all?
ex. How fast is totsuka?
ex. Is Nagato in 1 body or the 6 bodies of pain.
(if it's the 6 paths then would using totsuka on one of them kill all?)
All these most likely will never be answered.

Itachi can analyze the strenght of techniques, its also obvious that he knows how strong his own techniques are. If he thought that he could destroy CT by himself he would just do that.

I agree with you.
If it took 8 tails naruto to break out of it, and the combo of 3 very powerful attacks, i doubt that just one jutsu could break it.
(besides maybe the 4th transporting it? maybe?)

Thanks for basically summing up Itachi's actions but Itachi has a low chance of beating Nagato.
Itachi's main chance of winning is if he catches Nagato with his Tsukuyomi.

I disagree. Although i agree that itachi hasnt shown as a technique so far strong enough to destroy ct on his own, i dont agree with what you said. Itachi after the fight, told naruto that he should acknowledge the powers of his comrades and lectured him about power, arrogance and failure. Its this idea that led itachi to recognise bee and naruto's strength and come up with a strategy that would implement all their strengths.
He had already admitted that he failed when he tried to do everything on his own once and its this idea that i believe led him to come up with this strategy for all 3 to end ct, instead of him trying to do everything by himself again

Yes Nagato would make him know pain but itachi is stronger then most anyone without a rinnegan is fair game for him

because gaara had more sand then there was Amaterasu flames if they were the same amount then the sand wouldn't stand a chance.

Itachi is an elite ninja and is very skilled, everyone knows this, but that doesn't mean he can win against someone like Nagato.
Seriously Itachi Amaterasu already brought him down Tsukuyomi wouldn't be the only thing.

Oh come on, you're not any different from those who overrate Itachi now.
Amaterasu is useless against a Rinnegan user, it can be either nullified by Shinra Tensei, or absorbed by Preta path, after all it can absorb "any" form of chakra, do you want to tell me that Amaterasu is not a form of chakra?
and BTW Nagato wasn't able to control himself well at the time, he was controlled by Kabuto, if he were fighting against Itachi and with full control over himself he would nullify it right away!
