Basically Itachi said what his intention is. That's how I saw it, when he said he was going to stop the edo tensei. But Sasuke is a wild card. Since Itachi is no longer under control, a strong emotional response could make him disappear, like what happened with Sasori.

I do believe this little confrontation you seem bent on carrying on has shown your lack of maturity. Basically, I believe they will because Sasuke has Suigetsu, Jugo, and Karin heading in his direction. If he died, then Kishi wouldn't have put that chapter with those three in it in the middle of everything (it was fairly random to be honest). Now after the battle, i don't know what will happen between him and Itachi..

Also, ever since Kabuto punched the crap out of Shizune, I really wanted him to die. He's SUCH an incredible douchebag lol
