tried to, but that doesn't mean he was going for the kill. he never goes for the kill with his scythe. someone in the manga even stated that judging from the way his scythe is made, it's not meant to kill but to cut. so i doubt he'd misuse his own weapon and try to kill torune.

and please. asuma and torune are wayyy different from each other. haha to me, asuma is a fail for a ninja...sorry but it's true. torune would have done so much better in the situation. why? because kakuzu wouldn't be able to help hidan get those pesky bugs off of him, because he'd be poisoned too. and you're wrong, asuma managed to cut his head off...so i'm sure if asuma can land a hit, so can torune. except torune's hit would be much more fatal

No way.. Asuma's fighting style is taijutsu. There is no way Torune is superior than Asuma..

Asuma cut hidan head when Hidan was torturing him... Asuma won't be able to cut hidan's head if hidan killed him immediately.

no way torune is superior??? hahaha dude he was danzo's right hand man...i think that puts him above asuma any day! and you fail to realize that it's not impossible to miss Hidan...i guarantee you Torune would land a hit on hidan, even if it means taking a blow himself. it's stupid to think otherwise. all in all, torune's tech is much more fatal than hidan's...

We have no evidence that torune is superior than Asuma. Being a right man doesn't proved anything. I'm so sure about this, Hidan is a mid-ranged fighter while Torune uses his hands to put is bug on his opponent. Asuma failed to hit him with a shuriken from behind while hidan is sitting. Three bladed scythe can kill you in an instant if got hit.

Do you think Torune will win against Asuma in taijutsu while Shikamaru pressuring him?
