[Predictions] what leaf or kage members are going to die?

You can include sasuke in this if you want. I believe every kohona 11 member except sakura, ino, and rock lee will die. Yes i do believe that naruto will die somehow. Guy will sacrifice himself somehow for kakashi. Oonoki, Mei, and Tsunande will die. Iruka will die protecting naruto.

seriously!?... i doubt any of the konoha 11 will die esspecially naruto... i also don't think any of the kage will die except oonoki... i believe tsnuade will live and if she is to give up the title hokage she will give it up to kakashi... i think naruto will go on to be something greater that a kage... someone more powerfull than all the kage.. someone who the kage have to look to for problems... like a world kage/guardian of some sorts... sasuke will live, change back and be good again and become naruto's right hand man... and the shiobi alliance will continue from here on out.

I don't see any of the konoha 11 dying because it would depress the young fans of Naruto. Its mostly only old people that die in Naruto from the good side with the exceptions of Asuma and Obito.

If someone is to die, i would think it would be from the old generation. As the path has been set for the new generation to take the lead.

I don't want to see anyone die, but if it has to happen (it's a war afterall) then I think Tsunade might die, maybe by sacrificing herself to take down Madara. That would make sense, as she would finally join her teammates in the afterlife, and the hokage title would be passed to Naruto.

Though I like Tsunade, her death would be more meaningful than any other kage's.

As with the Konoha 11, it's not very likely that anyone will die, since they are the next generation and all.

At least two of the Konoha 12+1 (incl. Sasuke and Sai) will die. This is a war and for truly bringing the horror of it to the readers, some we care about must die. Ditto for the older generation.

Looking at the 13 kids, I'd say Naruto and Sakura will survive, Sasuke survives till end of series since he is fated to clash with Naruto, but may not live beyond. I also believe the four clan head heirs (Shikamaru, Chogy, Ino and Shino) will live to take on their parents' role of heads of their respective clans. I believe that Neji will end up the head of the Hyuga clan (proof that will overcomes destiny).

So those left are the ones that don't have a clear role in their clans or village - Sai, Lee, Ten Ten, possibly Kiba (is there a leader for his clan?) and Hinata. Take your pick - either one or two of these are candidates. I expect Hinata to fall, as that would be the most heart wrenching death among them (I hope not). Kiba is also a candidate, as he is very much like Naruto - hot headed, impetuous and connected with a wild beast... Ten Ten may, but she is not one most would care much about. I really like Sai and Lee, so I hope these two stay, though Sai, as a replacement for Sasuke may go if he comes back.

And I don't think Naruto will let them get too involved in the fight with Tobi. He'll probably say something like: "Stay back and watch me kick ass".

Naruto realizes he has to let them fight with him, after his talk with Itachi.

Candidates for causing mayhem - any or all of the following:

1. Edo Madara (assuming he is not sealed or terminated by ET release).
2. Kabuto (even if ET released, he may still survive and always has a new trick up his sleeve).
3. Tobi - haven't yet seen his new abilities, and he's still fresh, unlike everyone else.
4. Gedo Mazou - recall the jutsu that Nagato used it for against Hanzo, now magnified with TB chakra.
5. User of the other half of Kyuubi chakra, if it gets extracted.
6. Black Zetsu (he is not dead yet)

The only Kage that I don't want to die is Gaara, but honestly they all might be screwed.
If that happens, I really hope Edo madara sticks around for a while as a main/last antagonist, but it would highlight the senselessness of war.

Still, An unbound Edo Madara walking around with the 5 kages bound to the Rinnegan would be pretty nasty, and would serve a plot point to show that Edo Madara is a beast.

As for the original kids from Konoha, I don't think any of them are going to be killed at this point. Which.... that sort of disapoints me.

- Choji should be dead (he wrestled with Gedo Mazo, the soul stealing god statue which is likely to be the new body for the Juubi.), and his secret technique was lame. As a character he peaked back when Sasuke left for Orochimaru.
- Shikamaru could make it through the war in one piece, but showing him getting severely wounded would show that even brains doesn't completely negate the brutality of war. Plus... scars look cool.
- It doesn't matter if Ino lives or not. I tend to favor her living on, because her dying wouldn't even make a difference one way or another.
- Shino is kind of the same way as Ino. He's very much a minor side character. His bug abilities aren't even necessarily the height of his family's abilities. If he dies, great. If he lives Great. i don't think it'll matter if he gets maimed, so as a character it's death or nothing at all.
- Neji could live. Maybe get severely injured. He only needs one eye to use his hyuuga abilities and take over the hyuuga clan head position. Honestly anything goes with this one.
- Ten Ten... is in the Shino/Ino category. So minor only her death would matter, so if she lives, Great. If she dies, great. Otherwise, i don't care.
- Kiba actually needs to live. His douchbagery is pretty rampant and allowing him to live would drive home the point of the senselessness of war. maybe just injure Akamaru, and that'd be enough to make Kiba tragic.
- This depresses me to no end... Rock Lee should die. He should be a hero, but he should die. Hard work is great, but, shit happens.
- Sai... i don't know bout him living or dying; he's important enough he could be maimed.
- Hinata should live, but with some sort of disability. Maybe she gives up her eyes to Neji, and just lives on for Naruto.

Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto will live on past the war. I don't believe the final conflict of the series is going to take place during the war, but just after it, and all three of these characters are likely to be present.
