Come on lets face it, Orochimaru was coughing up blood and was ill in bed when Sasuke ambushed him. Kishimoto gave Oro a rubbish death.

Considering this would have been Sasuke before he got MS etc.

Actually you wrong Sasuke naturally learned genjustu seeing as he is a Uchiha is that what they were known for.
