So it's a debate about rinnegan against EMS.I'd say why Nagato is better than Sasuke.When i mean better it's by skills,power,intelligence.
Rinnegan vs EMS
Madara is the first person ever to be said that have EMS.But he want to have the rinnegan.It's because EMS isn't good enough to reach to the top
.I believe it's got something to do with Hashirama's power/DNA.So that's why he fought him.It's because rineegan > EMS.SO6P did all the things he did with his rinnegan.It's safe to assume that he used it to defeat the ten-tails and to create the moon.SO6P is the father of ninjutsu.So the rinnegan bearer gets access to learn quite easily all the charkra natures(elements) & ying/yang use.It allows you to govern and use jutsus beyond human realm.While EMS will have Tsukiyomi,Amaterasu,Advance susanoo.By comparing the techs Madara and Nagato used with EMS techs
Its rinnegan>EMS
Nagato vs Sasuke
Nagato was a master of rinnegan.He used the 6 paths effectively hiding his cover (That's some brain).He got good combos and formations to how he used the paths.
Taking down Susanoo.
I don't know how he will do it cause there's many ways he can pawn Sasuke in this one.
1.Using 'chibaku tensei' he will capture susanoo and Sasuke.The force used to attract is really high.So there is no way Sasuke can break through it when he got caught.Come on people,it's used to catch tailed beasts.
2.'Gedo Mazo'.Susanoo will be crushed like a nut. xd
3.He can use his normal jutsus using paths to penetrate susanoo.[summoning,bunsho tennin(droping a giant object on susanoo),missiles etc.)
Countering Amaterasu
He will use preta path to this.It can absorb anything made with chakra,so it means any ninjutsu.Amaterasu is also chakra baised and it's classified as ninjutsu.So he will absorb amaterasu.He could use shinra tensei to repel it but it won't be effective due to 5 sec interval.
Ninjutsu
Nagato can use 5 elements and ying/yang release.So he got a ton of ninjutsus up in his sleeves.Sasuke's ninjutsus will be repelled by shinra tensei.

Nagato don't have to use hand seals for almost every jutsu of his (but he wants it to summon but he doesn't need blood like others do).But Sasuke has to.It's another disadvantage for Sasuke.
Countering Genjutsu
It's isn't possible to put several people in a genjutsu in a single cast (correct me if i'm missing something).We saw it only done by Jiraiya using the sage toads genjutsu.That genjutsu is a sound based.So typically anyone who listens the melodies can be put in that genjutsu.So it isn't possible for Sasuke to put all of the six paths in a genjutsu.If he puts one or two others will counter it and disrupt the cast.
And also one stab with that "Chakra Disruption Blades"it's over.Sasuke will be powerless.
Not to mention Nagato took down Hanzou,Konoha (a whole freaking village) and tailed beasts.
It's now quite clear about the odds.
It's Nagato's win anywhere anytime.Those who say Sasuke can beat Nagato are deluded by Sasuke fanboism or retarded.
