IMO, I think he could defeat the paths with FTG and Rasengan.

Gonna have to disagree. Look at my post a little higher up about his rasengans, also his FTG kunai would also be blown away by Deva's shinra tensei.

If he places seals on the floor Deva path cannot blow them away. If he places seals on the bodies of the paths, Deva path cannot blow them away.

Are his seals instantaneous? If not then he's going to die trying to place them on a path, if they are, he is still going to have a tough time getting them on. Look at my post about his rasengans, and whilst doing this he has to fight cerberus in which he has no jutsu to kill it, and many other summons, as well as the asura's paths missiles and possible resurrection of paths if he manages to kill one.

Fact is, Minato is the worst possible opponent for Pain. FTG is the exact reason why he'll win, as it will render their shared vision usless. He can slap seals anywhere on the terrain and can do so in such a manner that he can strategically draw or move the paths in any direction he wants. Most of Pain's attacks are pretty useless simply because they will not hit Minato. Cerberus will be dealt with by Minato's toad summons so there's no problem there.

There are many ways for Minato to seperate each path and we've seen Konohamaru, Naruto and Jiraiya all destroy a path with a single rasengan. Minato created the jutsu so he is the best at using a rasengan combo. Shared vision is not quick enough to see him teleport to it will be rendered useless.

on their own the paths are low kage level at best, aside from the deva path who's probably the strongest of the 6. Together they provide excellent visual prowess and I dont think Minato could beat them together.

They have the best teamwork and formations in Naruto.
