The Man behind the Mask! A theory for a possible Tobi identity
The Man behind the mask:
There have been plenty of theories about the true identity of Tobi. From Tobi=Obito to Tobi=Izuna. I believed that none of these theories are possible enough to uncover the secret of the man behind the mask.
I’ll start my theory by eliminating the other theories. Tobi can’t be Obito, Shisui, or Kagami Uchiha and heres why:
The scan above shows that Kurama knows Tobi. How? Tobi had his mask the whole time. The only reason for this is the chakra. Kurama might have known this person or even met him. The scan above eliminates the other theories because we all know that Kurama was sealed within Mito then Kushina. From this point of time, Kurama doesn't know about Obito, Shisui, or Kagami Uchiha.
Is Tobi Izuna? No!
Here’s why:
We can see here that the price to control Kurama is blindness and it was said that only an MS or EMS user can control Kurama.
We also know that Madara achieve his EMS by getting Izuna’s eyes
It was said that Izuna died in a battle, fighting to the death even in his blind state and not only that, it is impossible for him to be Tobi because after them, the next one to awaken MS are Itachi, Shisui, and Kakashi and we all know the MS is needed to control Kurama. These guys are still youngsters during the time when Tobi controlled Kurama and as I said, Kurama knows who Tobi is without seeing his face.
Is Tobi Madara? No!
We all know that Madara was summoned by the use of Edo Tensei. The technique calls the soul of a departed human back from the afterlife. It means that Madara had died.

Who is the man behind the mask?
I believe that Tobi is the elder son of the sage. Only the sage’s son have the DNA of both Uchiha and Senju to do Izanagi
It could not be the younger son because Tobi’s ideal to achieve peace is through war.
The same ideal for the elder son of the sage
Have you even wondered why Tobi knows so much about the sage’s sons history and how the curse of Uchiha’s hatred begun? Even the Kage’s doesn’t know about that. Of all people, Tobi knows the history of the sage and until now we haven’t seen him using MS. The scan below shows Tobi explaining that MS can decode more than the sharingan and the rinnegan can do more.
We know that Tobi gave his eyes to Nagato as seen here:
Question: How did Tobi obtained the Rinnegan?
Madara awakened the Rinnegan shortly before his death.
We know that Tobi is not Madara because Madara was summoned through Edo Tensei. Again, how did Tobi get the rinnegan?
Only the elder son posseses the sage’s eyes
It explains why Kurama knows him without seeing his face. Tobi’s ideal and the sage’s elder son are the same. They both believe that might is the key to peace.
If Tobi is the elder son of the sage why is he alive until now?
Izanagi was once used to create life
If the sage was able to create the tailed beast with the use of Izanagi, Tobi can also do that because he has the DNA of both Uchiha and Senju.
What I’m referring to?
It leads me to believe that he created the original Zetsu with the use of Izanagi and then uses Hashirama’s cell to create more. He uses it to preserve his body. We all know that our body will age so it is not possible for him to live this long. Tobi is not immortal because if he is then he will not be using zetsu’s body
Please take a look at his arm. It definitely not an arm of a human being. No bones but just some kind of substance that melted.Another thing is, Zetsu is a mystery. We don’t know where he came from, or if he has relatives. Like Tobi, he’s a complete mystery. He’s the only one that knows the complete plan of Tobi or even Tobi’s identity.
Conclusion: Tobi is the elder son of the sage that uses a zetsu body to live long.
