what is your oppinion on what the qualifacations are for being a kage?

i'm curious about something, there are so many people that argue over what makes a good kage. i want to settle this once and for all. what are the qualifactions for a kage? i want to know your personal oppinions, and here are my own.

1.) strength, and not just physical, but emotional, and mental strength as well.
2.) a righteous heart.
3.) you care for your friends, and you always protect them with all your strength.
4.) you put other people's whishes before your own.
5.) you ALWAYS put the villagers first.
and last but not least: you have some bad*ss Jutsu

I think above all a Kage must have good leadership skills and be political. Whats good about having a over powered character with haxxed jutsus that just drags the village through war after war. Although a balance is recommended.

• Very Intelligent. (Preferably wise, and experienced, but that's not a requirement.)
• Trained by a Kage, Or Kage's Direct Student. Or a relative of a past Kage.
• Strong loyalty to their Village.

well that's interesting, i didn't think of the intellegence part, that's kinda important too. and leadership makes sense as well. it's important to have good leadership skills, so i'll have to agree with your on those two points.

I honestly do not see the point of kages in these recent chapters, Naruto & Sasuke have clearly surpassed them & I can't see them being of use after the war as the shinobi system will change.

i agree on all of the above, as well. i guess i was too foucused on Naruto's qualities and personallity, in which i believe make a proper kage, and didn't think of anything else. also i need to add one more thing to my list: epicness, being epic is important too, which is basically every kage save for the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, becuase he was controlled by Tobi, who isin't epic in the least.

politcal? is all politics leads too is a dragged down village...just look at the US, where i'm from, is all it's politics lead to was a really bad economy, so politcs just wouldn't get a village anywhere...
