don't turn anywhere unless you're willing to take a good look, not everything from CNN or HRW is propaganda but a big chunk of their reports are, some of which i lived through
my suggestion is to look at all sources and think things through.

We all know the world is littered with problems and some very atrocious crimes but do you really need to wedge yourself in someone else's problems? I find it hypocritical when people tell other people what they are doing wrong when they themselves are guilty of the same thing (if not worse)?

Maybe the new generation of Americans who are not stupid and lazy can learn a thing or two about butting into other people's business before fixing their own problems. I mean, if you want to be a rolemodel or some savior of the world, make sure you are not guilty of the same thing. But alas, humans will be humans, in that we always are after our own interests without regard for others.

Not mad just tired of seeing posts about people suddenly caring about problems in the world when we ourselves have problems of our own. When we get those out of the way we are more than welcome to help others with theirs.

My policy is, stick to helping myself and those that matter to me. I'm broke and American, lost my job because the crappy economy, I don't have any foreign charities sending me money for relief, so why the hell would I care about any other foreign issues.

I'm totally agree.American Government act like a parasite with their 850 millitare bases around the world.Instead of looking to their own problem in their own country,they prefer spend 3 000 billions for steal and kill innocent in irak and 1 300 billions for Afghanistan.
Now they're leaving Afghanistan because they don't have the money to continu the war .

The US military does not have 850 Military bases, try about over 1,000 or more no one really knows we can estimate but no dice, Most of them are inactive anyway.

While we do need to stop meddling with other countries and worry about ourselves, you sir are about as well informed about whats going on in the world as your average pre-schooler. You also have about the same level of grammar and spelling skills. I would love to see all these people they say they hate Americans get on without our help. I would love if the American government would stop sending a single dollar overseas in any way and instead spend that money to help create jobs and help people in need here.

Read the thread all the way through. That is just propaganda made for profit. Yes living conditions are bad in Uganda, but they have been like that for a long time. Nobody cared until they saw that video. Kony hasn't even been in Uganda for 6 years. Things like that happen all over Africa like that every day, and nobody cares unless they see an emotional video about it. A few years ago something just like this happened somewhere else. I forgot what it was called but it was a conflict that had been going on for 20 years turned into a big fad on the internet for a week or 2, then was forgotten. Do you think Kony just appeared a few days ago? this is a conflict that has been going on for over 20 years and you never cared then did you? This is actually a small conflict by African standards, there are other ongoing conflicts going on right now with the same atrocities happening on a bigger scale in Africa that have been ongoing for decades. This was just a ploy by a few rich guys who can edit videos and the government of Uganda to profit off of idiots who feel bad and send money blindly because a video "touches their hearts"


Watch the video Hyperion posted, a journalist got to spend time in Konys camp, guess what....not a single child was there.

Kony is a bad guy, he is fighting for the right cause, just in a bad way. But all of the stuff you idiots are falling for is just propaganda.

We really should stay out of this. Its bad whats happening, but all that will happen if we take him out is someone else will replace him doing the exact same thing. That's Africa, not America, we need to stop interfering and let things run their course. We live on a continent founded by the biggest butcher in history, yet act as if its our right to interfere in the worlds business. America is the country that backed Suddam and put him into power, then we went to war to take him out, we always mess things up when we interfere, so we need to just stop doing it.
