Naruto mixed his wind element with the Rasengan during his training, maintaining its original stability and increasing its power, far beyond that of his ordinary Rasengan.

This technique channels a large amount of lightning chakra to the user's hand. The amount of chakra is so great that it becomes visible.

I created this thread because many think that Rasengan is equal to Chidori, which is true!
But some say that Chidori is stronger because it has elemental nature.

Feel free to post your opinion, and don't forget to rate.

My opinion: Fuuton: Rasengan would overpower Chidori and harm its user's hand, since Wind > Lighting.

Base rasengan= Chidori. I guess oodama rasengan or the largest version is more than enough to defeat chidori.

fuuton:rasengan, is an s-rank tech. it exceeds chidori, which is a-rank. it would do something like what naruto did to kakashi's hand. the element advantage doesn't even need to come into play due to the difference in the technique's strength, but i guess it would cause added damage to the user of chidori.

I think you mean rasenshuriken but in reality both of them are as powerful as each other Naruto's rasenshuriken has emence power and destructive force. But the chidori has a more precise accuracy and possibly greater speed both have elemental nature to them but also wind is stronger than lightning so maybe the rasenshuriken is slightly stronger.

The best way i would describe i is Chidori is like a pistol and rasengan is like a shotgun.
I personally think they cancel each other out but if wind it added to the equation it's complete overkill, maybe take his whole arm off rather then hurt his hand

depends on the user but if you wanna know which is stronger then u can refer to a movie where the dude was unable to absorb rasenshuriken. and now naruto can create tens of them

Why does it depend on the person? I remember when they first(Naruto and Sasuke) tried to use each jutsu against each one, they couldn't hit each other because of Kakashi and we saw the destructive power of each one, and clearly a normal rasengan had more. Just my opinion.

this was an early episode which Sasuke and Naruto's fight really began. It shows how much more powerful the Rasengan is in terms of "Destructive" Power.

No the Fuuton: Rasengan is an uncompleted version of Fuuton: Rasenshuriken.

I'm sorry but what? please refer to my earlier post. Even without the addition of the Wind element, the Rasengan is more powerful. In terms of raw "Destructive" Power. As someone stated earlier on, the Chidori is a more precise technique but this thread is about which one is more powerful no? Rasengan is more powerful simple

Edit: If it's Rasengan VS Chidori, wouldn't you assume head to head clash? After all its not ninja VS ninja, right? So in essence we're really discussing which technique would POUND the other in a head to head clash.

like he said rasenshuri should not be compared to it, it's a far above technique. I think simple rasengan is atleast on par level of chidori. It was shown in season 1 that rasengan is clearly more destructive then chidori. It has more variations- as shown in manga- can increase its size & can be thrown at some distance

It depends on the situation chidori is more of a cutting threw something as were the rasengan is more of a burst and destroy :shrug:

This is one thing I never got.....it was told to us that wind>lightning yet Naruto never has the upper hand coming out of the collision between the two like at the final valley and team 7 reunited. Given the rank of a rasengan compared to a chidori rasengan should always have the advantage yet we can't see it. They both look super exhausted after they go head to head with the two. So in my opinion which should be factitious Rasengan>Chidori

If just those 2 Jutsu were to clash, obviously the Rasengan would overpower the Chidori... Mainly because of the elemental Nature, but also because Rasengan takes Shape Manipulation to a whole new level that the Chidori can only dream of.

However if I were too choose between which jutsu is ultimately better, I'd have to go with the Chidori because of the variations it has compared to the Rasengan.
