Gaara killed people just if they looked at him wrong he gets like a good feeling when he killed ppl sasuke he is confused everything happened so suddenly sasukekilled danzo don't think ppl really care he died and no one even remember him and he killed some samuries but he told them not to interfare the thing is the sand was decived by oro and sasuke is being manipulated by tobi when you look at it sasuke will get pardon but he will have to earn it unlike gaara

You have no idea how many people Gaara killed. I would say you need to find out more about him before commenting.
Gaara tried to not kill people,Shukaku drove him to it & his father and his village.

Sasuke is sure worse than Gaara.Don't forget Gaara was almost assasinated by the person he loved and trusted the most,and that person told him he hated Gaara all his life;so you can imagine how traumatic it is.Yet Gaara was able to repent of his crimes and he is stable now upstairs unlike Sasuke

Garra should definetly get the pardoon since his actions couldnt be controlled but sasuke and his dumbass is just doing this to get some attention from his brother by getting so revenge on something his brother did.

gara has really evolved from a wild, murdurous,desasterous kid to a really kind,loving and caring person. last time i remember gara being evil was during chunin exam when he was a kid and induced by shukaku, but after then he has really redefined the term friendship and love. just look now how he could give his life for friends and country but sasuke always been a psycho,monstrous, jealous,egoist personality.
i have never seen sasuke care for others and he only helps as a team mate not as a friend . he helps only if can improve himself and grow power other wise he just uses peoples like pawn of chess board.he used oro, he used naruto to grow strong.:scorps: he used taka and killed karin when she was just a responsibility. he is really the worst selfish character ever in naruto . get over it sasugay fans. sasuke will slaughter u fans also if he could grow strong.:flaw:

No1: Thank you and to everybody else for making this an interesting thread.
No2: Gaara wasn't a monster as a kid,but Shukaku did manage to do alot of damage to him mentally when the exams started.
Normally he managed to control Shukaku without any issues and was very civilised. It was only when he entered the Chunin exam that the crazy started to flood in.
Although I agree with your point,Gaara had a tough time and was messed up mentally from the word go.
No3: Sasuke used to be good and even started to like Naruto. But it was the selfishness and greed for more power that drove him the being the worlds No1 turd-ball.

No offense but you appear to be ignorant on the subject and probably don't even know what being an emo truly means, besides it's quite obvious you don't like Sasuke. This is a discussion, not some thread made for everyone to rant out their animosity toward fictional characters.
You think he shouldn't get pardoned, that’s completely fine but at least try to clearly state your reasoning behind this.
He subconsciously sacrificed himself in order to protect someone he felt was precious.
He expressed his concern for those he cared about and was willing to risk his life protecting them.
He emotionally protected Taka during the Kirabi capture arc.
I feel these are enough to disprove your statement in bold. You seem biased and if so this means your opinion is hindered in this discussion.
I'm quite sure the thread starter would prefer everyone to refrain from flame-baiting, after all we can all prove a point without bashing characters, right?

Here in these several links we can firsthand see Gaara's bloodthirst while he brutally kills these participants during the exam. After this he claimed he hadn't had enough yet; wanting to continue further in the exam likely to continue such acts. The other two Suna siblings pleaded with him to stop and after considering it, he finally acknowledged their pleas.
This shows right here that while Gaara might have influence in committing those murders it alone wasn't a deciding factor. He grew to enjoy killing anyone who threatened his existence or anyone he deemed fit.
I'm not going to deny the truth and claim that Gaara was at complete fault as that isn't the truth but I can on the other hand it could be argued that to some extent he had control over his bijuu. He was able to resist the blood-lust and continue onward to the exam.
Again, he was able to hold back his blood-lust and warned Shikamaru and Naruto twice to not interfere or they would not be spared.
These pages here basically show the principles that Gaara carried; this was not created because Shukaku controlled him, etc. It was something his father enforced through Yashamaru and something he finally came to believe in due to his ordeals.

My thoughts about a possible future pardoning for Sasuke remain unchanged, for those interested in seeing them:
Hashirama and Madara were mercenaries who were hired to kill and fight in wars for foreign nations and were not condemned for this crime as Akatsuki members were, instead they decided on peace and in turned established the initial example of the Narutoverse's government.
Sasuke has likely done more "illegal" things than Gaara but I still firmly believe that because Gaara / Sunagakure as whole received a chance to redeem themselves that Sasuke should be allowed something similar. I'm not saying for him to be completely forgiven but perhaps he can attempt to makes amends in some way.
At this point in time he doesn't care about a pardoning but everyone should have the mindset of it being hypothetical; what is Sasuke wanted to change, should he be given a chance at this?
From what I've seen the only village that seemed to have a true personal conflict against Sasuke was Kumogakure, and perhaps Tetsu no Kuni because of the samurai.
We've seen Gaara's thoughts on the subject:

Remember, this was supposedly after he sneaked into Kumogakure and "successfully" captured Kirabi, defected from Konohagakure, temporarily allied himself with Orochimaru / Akatsuki, killed Samurai and fought with the Raikage. If being lenient wasn't possible why would Kishimoto have Gaara state this?
I realize that after this he went on to kill Danzou, but he himself was corrupt and the alliance said themselves that they couldn't trust him. The position he cheaply acquired was already strained and likely to be removed once the truth was revealed.
The reason he is internationally wanted was because he joined Akatsuki and likely because Raikage wanted to kill him as soon as possible. Other than that no village had previously held enough interest to enhance his status to an international level.

The bolded part is my only issue. I agree that Gaara said this but directly after this,Temari & Kankuro said to Gaara that it no longer mattered what Gaara said as Sasuke was an internationally wanted criminal.
That said,this was a great post and you deserve respect.

Thank you and I acknowledge what you're saying here but as I said in your other thread:
This obviously shouldn't happen from one chapter to another but if Kishimoto decides to do this (which he seems to be foreshadowing through showing this desire to eliminate the hatred and ultimately change the shinobi world) then I can assume he will try his best to make it as reasonable as possible.
I'm still remaining open to the possibility of him not receiving pardon or leniency but everyone ought to remain open about either occurring as well.

ninjas kill... FACT... i don't think it should be the amount of people they killed etc... itachi wiped out a clan, minato wiped out batallions doesn't make them evil...

gaara was evil but was controlled by shikaku...he felt alone and killed becos of it but naruto changed him and gaara is now respected by his people
sasuke wanted revenge for itachi which is understandable but also wished to destroy konoha, he attacked needlessly, abandons friends and cares about himself
