And there's a difference between protecting A PERSON and protecting A VILLAGE. Just cuz Konohamaru protected one person, of course doesn't make him worthy of Hokage...did you even read my post? And yeah, Tsunade protected the village from a crushing wave of energy that would have killed them all in seconds if she hadn't acted.

And like I said, Tsunade's only been in one fight til now, so we can't say for sure that she isn't capable of more.

The whole point of this post is whether or not she is a good Hokage...and she is. She protects her village, manages her ninja, and goes where she is needed. She is absolutely not the strongest offensive ninja, but she has her own merit.

I'd also like to point out that Madara said that Hashirama could heal his OWN wounds without seals, not heal others. So perhaps he is not as good at medicine as Tsunade, who can heal everyone at once, REMOTELY. Just sayin.

i cant explain it tbh i just have my own view on hokage title. yes saving lives are important and a good deed but then again saving lives doesnt make you hoakge title. konohamaru saved a life during pain arc so did one of his friends.
a fodder ninja can save a life that doesnt make him hokage material. does it?

Cool thanks I think we each have our own views on what is hokage material is all about I just think it doesn't matter who holds the title of hokage so long as they protect the people that live in the village and are prepared to sacrifice their lives for that. To be honest I think any ninja left at the moment worthy of holding that title will have a tough time defeating Tobi and I do realise that any ninja could save a life so I don't want to go into that. Its hard to explain but I agree with you and I disagree so guess I'm a fence sitter lol till after the next couple of chapters anyway.

it does all come down to wat each of us think the requirement or a kage should be for me they have to be able to look after the village people and to have the will and determination to fight for the village even with losing odds, of course they need to have some degree of combat skill but tsunade has demonstrated that with her battle against orochimaru

But you can't weigh lives against buildings once you're dead you're dead but buildings and houses can be rebuilt can you tell me if any of the previous hokages could have protected the villagers and the village itself from Pains giant shinra tensei given that fact that no one new he could do this much damage with a single tech. I just don't want to see this part involved as I think it ruins what this thread is actually about.

just speculations but:
minato's space time barrier contract seal could have absorb it and deflected it , anything that comes in contact with it gets absorb but idk if it can cover shinri tensei but possibilty.

hashirama could have made a huge block of wood around the village of somewhat or so you get the idea right?

I Doubt Any Kage could defend a Village against an Attack like that, Not even the 1st, He might of been able to Soften the Blow but thats all.
