Kishi never explained the true process in which EMS was aquired. If you are to transplant someone else's eyes in your own your eyes have to be extracted first. So if that is true, why didn't Madara and Izuna both switch there eyes to gain to EMS? And if they did can Izuna be Tobi?

they couldnt switch because madaras eyes already had lost ther light i guess

They didn't completely lose there light because if they had Madara couldn't have gained the EMS.

I don't think so, because in the Sasuke vs. Itachi fight, when Itachi had Sasuke trapped in Tskyoumi, he removed Sasuke's eye and placed it in a jar, probably to be switched with his later.

Hmm really tough this one i used to think you cant swap the eyes since one pair has lost the light so it wont work but i dnt knw have to wait to see if kishi shows the process but i doubt it

My point again, Madara was close to bieng blind but he wasn't, because if he had then he wouldn't have been able to gain the EMS, because the first pair of his eyes would have sealed.

I think that the eye you transplant to obtain the EMS is a "fusion" of both MS... Maybe one of the eyes gets too Damaged to be used afterwards... Or maybe it takes a part of the eye and adds it to the other (for example, the lence), without removing the previous one...

Because they didn't know about EMS. Madara only intended to gain Izuna's MS but then he realised his new eyes were upgraded because he gained new abilities etc. That's how Madara found out about EMS and I believe this is why they didn't simply trade eyes.

he was putting up a theatre there. I mean think about it sasuke didn't have MS why would itachi care for sasuke's eyes.
he only made it seem like that was his goal.

I think you have both eyes to have EMS. it would somewhat be a fusion.
but no proof. just my thought
