Minato has FTG. Of course, his speed would be greater than that of Hashirama's, but what added advantage can his speed and strength combined with Rasengan do much. Hashirama has a Kekkei Genkai, Mokuton, that combines earth and water-based chakra natures to create wood or complete trees. These two elements and Kekkei Genkai gives him a defense and geographical advantage which can take control of the battle-field. Minato can throw the FTG, FTG Level Two, through the air, but it would be noneffective because the battle-field would be change (or design) to disrupt Minato movements while utilizing FTG. However, It would be a gamble if Minato manganes to use the battle-field created by Hashirama as an advantage for his FTG.

Of course you wondering, how would the First Hokage find out how FTG works? It's easy to find FTG weakness as seen by the Fourth Raikage (A). It doesn't take a lower to higher skill shinobi to find it weakness. It just takes one to have the speed or abilities to counter it.

Lastly, Minato has Reaper Death Seal which takes the soul.. blah blah blah.. but he has to prepare the Death God and be in position to seal the soul of Hashirama and I don't think he would get that chance.

I hate how if ppl say something about certain characters, they're automatically "fanboys", I'm gonna go ahead and say that this battle could be anyones, considering there's a lot we don't know about Minato, yup, I said it

I find it funny how ppl talk down upon others for expressing their opinion, a few dayz ago certain ppl swore Hiruzen prime was the strongest Hokage, but now due to recent revelations from the Manga ppl wanna jump to the next bandwagon and wank off Hashi and take time to bash Minato at the same time...

tbh until we get more info on more of Minato's sealing jutsu's, there's no telling, because if Minato has a seal to cut off or disrupt chakra access, what could Hashirama do? The Uzumaki village was destroyed because ppl feared what they could do with all those devastating sealing jutsu's in their possession, and Kushina taught Minato a bunch of seals, this means that fuinjutsu are some of the most powerful things in the narutoverse.

This right here is enough to put Minato on par with Hashirama, a bunch of seals could mean anything, so there's no way to actually know of all the guys abilities anyway, even with everything presented thus far on the table, Minato still has a chance to win, ppl can sit here and say, "Hashirama can heal, he winz automatically"

I say no, that is not the case, Rasengan would more than likely kill anyone who took a direct shot to the face, good luck healing a split open skull, well there it is, my opinion, now, to all you Minato haterz

I was showing both views of not being biased on one. I think. Just because we seen what Hashirama could do, being confirmed by Madara and others, doesn't make him all that strong. However, I could be wrong, but each Hokage has skill set that dominants a battle and Minato is one of them with FTG. I did say it was a gamble for him to utilize FTG to an opponent such as Hashirama. It's also a succeeding win being that he is considered a genius by many. So, The battle can go either-way.
